Job summary

SymphonyAI in Bengaluru, India, seeks a seasoned SDET Architect to lead design and implementation of scalable test automation frameworks and quality practices across the product portfolio.

You will drive automation across UI using Playwright, API validation, and CI/CD integration, partnering with engineering to embed quality in the SDLC and promote a shift-left approach. 8–12 years of experience and strong coding skills are expected.

Qualifications

  • 8-12 years of experience in Software Development, SDET, Quality Engineering, or Test Automation roles.
  • Strong software development background with proficiency in Java/Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar programming languages.
  • Extensive hands‑on experience with Playwright for UI automation.
  • Strong understanding of software design principles, data structures, algorithms, and OO concepts.
  • Experience building and maintaining enterprise-scale automation frameworks from scratch.
  • Strong expertise in API testing, REST services, and microservices-based architectures.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.
  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira and TestRail.
  • Strong understanding of modern software development practices, including version control, code reviews, and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience working in cloud-native environments and containerized applications is preferred.
  • Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
