Job summary

BU Consultants in Bengaluru is seeking an SDE-2 to design, build, and scale high-performance applications. You will own complex modules, contribute to architectural decisions, and mentor junior engineers across the full tech stack.

You will design and develop scalable web apps using Java and React, build RESTful APIs and microservices with Spring Boot, and collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and UI teams to deliver features end-to-end.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of software development experience.
• Strong Java (8+), Spring Boot backend expertise.
• Proficient with React.js, HTML5, CSS3, and ES6+.
• Knowledge of system design and scalable architectures.
• Experience with microservices and REST APIs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes is a plus.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilitie

• Design and develop scalable, high-performance web applications using Java and React
• Lead system design and architecture discussions for new and existing platforms
• Build RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot / Java frameworks

Required Skills & Qualification

• 4–6 years of strong software development experience
• Strong hands‑on expertise in Java (Java 8+), Spring Boot, and backend development
• Strong experience with React.js, HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
• Deep understanding of System Design concepts
• Scalable architecture

• Caching strategies
• Load balancing
• Experience with Microservices architecture and REST APIs
• Good knowledge of Databases (SQL/NoSQL - MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)
• Knowledge of Cloud Platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure preferred)
• Strong understanding of Data Structures & Algorithms
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus

Good to Have

• Experience working in high-traffic, large-scale systems
• Exposure to Event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Basic knowledge of security best practices
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
