Job summary

BU Consultants is seeking an SDE-1 for Bengaluru/Hyderabad to design, build, and scale high-performance applications across the full stack.

You will own modules, mentor engineers, and contribute to architectural decisions while collaborating with product, QA, DevOps, and UI teams.

The role requires hands-on Java, Spring Boot, React, and modern JavaScript, with a focus on scalable, resilient systems.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of software development experience.
• Proficient in Java (8+), Spring Boot, and backend development.
• Strong React.js, HTML5/CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Solid knowledge of system design and scalable architectures.
• Experience with microservices, REST APIs, and databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL/MongoDB).

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable web applications using Java and React.
• Lead system design discussions for new and existing platforms.
• Develop RESTful APIs and microservices with Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and UI teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure code quality.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize scalability.

About The Role

We are looking for a highly skilled SDE–1 to design, build, and scale high-performance applications. You will own complex modules, contribute to architectural decisions, and mentor junior engineers while working across the full tech stack

Key Responsibilitie

• Design and develop scalable, high-performance web applications using Java and React
• Lead system design and architecture discussions for new and existing platforms
• Build RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot / Java frameworks
• Work closely with product, QA, DevOps, and UI teams across the development lifecycle
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices
• Perform code reviews and mentor junior and mid-level engineers
• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize applications for scalability and reliability
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements and production deployments
• Own end-to-end delivery of features from design to deployment

Required Skills & Qualification

• 2–4 years of strong software development experience
• Strong hands‑on expertise in Java (Java 8+), Spring Boot, and backend development
• Strong experience with React.js, HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
• Deep understanding of System Design concepts
• Scalable architecture

• Experience with Microservices architecture and REST APIs

• Experience working in high-traffic, large-scale systems
• Exposure to Event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Basic knowledge of security best practices
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments

Educational Qualifications
