Job summary

UST is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to drive Agile practices and facilitate the delivery of product development initiatives. You will foster collaboration, enable team effectiveness, and ensure alignment with Agile principles and delivery objectives.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with 5+ years in Agile delivery and a BA/CS/engineering background. Certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience delivering Agile projects.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Agilist preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering/computer science/IT or related field.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews and Retrospectives.
• Enable teams to self-organize and improve delivery effectiveness.
• Act as liaison between product owners, development teams and stakeholders.
• Refine and prioritize product backlog with Product Owners.
• Monitor velocity, burn-downs and other Agile metrics; report to stakeholders.
• Lead retrospectives and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify and mitigate risks and cross-team dependencies.
• Coordinate cross-functional work and scaled Agile efforts where applicable.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to drive Agile practices and facilitate the successful delivery of product development initiatives. The ideal candidate will foster a collaborative, high-performing environment, enable team effectiveness, and ensure alignment with Agile principles and delivery objectives. This role requires strong leadership, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

Agile Facilitation

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Champion Agile values, principles, and best practices across development teams.
• Guide teams in adopting and continuously improving Agile methodologies.

Team Enablement

• Empower teams to self-organize, collaborate effectively, and take ownership of delivery outcomes.
• Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Coach team members on Agile practices and servant leadership principles.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Act as a liaison between development teams, product owners, and stakeholders.
• Facilitate clear communication and alignment across teams and business functions.
• Identify and remove impediments impacting team productivity and delivery timelines.

Backlog & Sprint Management

• Partner with Product Owners to refine, prioritize, and manage the product backlog.
• Ensure user stories are clearly defined, estimated, and aligned with business priorities.
• Support effective sprint planning and execution.

Metrics & Reporting

• Monitor Agile metrics such as velocity, sprint progress, burndown charts, and release tracking.
• Provide regular project status updates and insights to stakeholders.
• Use data-driven approaches to improve team performance and delivery predictability.

Continuous Improvement

• Lead retrospective discussions and drive actionable improvement initiatives.
• Identify process inefficiencies and implement best practices to enhance team effectiveness.
• Promote a mindset of learning, innovation, and adaptability.

Risk & Dependency Management

• Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks affecting project delivery.
• Coordinate cross-team dependencies and facilitate issue resolution.
• Support contingency planning and risk management activities.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineering teams, Business stakeholders, and other Scrum Masters.
• Ensure alignment across multiple Agile teams and initiatives.
• Support scaled Agile practices where applicable.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Agile project delivery, Scrum Master, or Agile Coach roles.
• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.
• Proven experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and coaching development teams.
• Experience managing stakeholder communications and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to track and analyze Agile delivery metrics.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience with Agile project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Agilist, SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent certification.
• Experience working in Product Development environments.
• Knowledge of release planning, dependency management, and scaled Agile frameworks.
• Experience managing multiple Agile teams and complex delivery programs
