Job summary

Toppan Merrill is seeking an experienced Scrum Master with 8-10 years total experience, including 3+ years in a ScrumMaster role. The ideal candidate will hold a CS/IT-related degree and will facilitate Scrum ceremonies, remove blockers, and drive continuous improvement across development, QA, and PMO teams.

The role requires strong communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to analyze KPIs and risks while ensuring on-time delivery within an Agile framework.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years total experience with minimum 3 years as Scrum Master.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT specialization, MCA, MS or MSc IT.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies: daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Identify and resolve obstacles hindering team progress.
• Promote continuous improvement through retrospectives and feedback.
• Communicate project status, risks, issues, and KPIs to stakeholders.
• Ensure team adherence to Scrum framework and Agile principles for high-quality, on-time delivery.

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering (CS/IT specialization), MCA, M.S., or M.Sc. IT.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum principles and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proven ability to lead/facilitate Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams (Development, QA, PMO).
• General understanding of programming concepts and database querying.
• Expertise in AI tools like Jellyfish, Jira AI, and GitHub Copilot for predicting risks, analyzing cycle time, prioritizing tasks, and deriving productivity insights.

Certifications

• Agile methodologies: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) required.
• SAFe, Kanban, or PMP advantageous.
