Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an SCCM specialist in Chennai District, Tamil Nadu. The role focuses on design and installation of SCCM, client deployment, and ongoing administration across Windows environments.

You will handle patch management, OS deployment, and routine maintenance while ensuring smooth operation of the SCCM infrastructure and extending AD schema where required.

Qualifications

• Experience in design and installation of Microsoft SCCM.
• Deep knowledge of SCCM client installation, software distribution and remote control.
• Expertise in SCCM administration, deployment, packaging, inventory, boundaries and design.
• Experience in supporting Windows administration.
• Designing SCCM architecture and extending AD schema.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote support as needed.
• Application deployment, patch management, OS deployment, client/server maintenance, troubleshooting and reporting.
• Troubleshoot day-to-day operations, monitor and tune system performance, and manage administration, configuration, deployment and maintenance.
• Day-to-day administration of SCCM environment and engineering of new solutions as needed.
• Ensure SCCM environment runs smoothly with cross-OS knowledge.
• Be on-call during specific shifts including weekends.
• Create and update technical documentation as required.

Must-Have

• Experience in design and installation of Microsoft SCCM


• In-depth knowledge of SCCM client installation, software distribution, remote control, and other SCCM issues.


• Expertise in SCCM Administration, deployment, packaging, network inventory, boundaries, installer and network designing


• Experience in supporting Windows administration.


• Designing SCCM architecture and extending AD schema.

Good-to-Have

• Preferably ITIL foundation Certified


• Assist the third-party system patching and knowing other system knowledge .

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

• Provide remote support as and when needed


• Application deployment, patch management, operating system deployment, client and server maintenance, troubleshooting, and reporting


• Troubleshoot day to day operations, performing monitor and tuning system performance, and providing administration, configuration, installation, deployment and maintenance.


• Day to day administration of SCCM environment to include engineering new solutions as needed


• Responsible to make sure that the SCCM environment is working smoothly, and also have the overall knowledge about these systems running on different operating systems.


• Must be able to work on-call as specific and weekends


• Creating and updating technical documentation as required
