Job summary

Tekskills is seeking a skilled SAP Transportation Management (TM) consultant to lead end-to-end TM implementations. You will gather requirements, design and configure TM components, and drive integration with S/4HANA and related modules.

The role requires strong hands-on TM experience, excellent communication, and ability to work with cross-functional teams. On-site position in India with client-facing responsibilities and emphasis on performance optimization.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP TM implementations.
• Experience with S/4HANA Embedded TM (preferred).
• Integration knowledge with SD, EWM, and FI.
• Understanding of transportation planning, freight costing, and settlement.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SAP TM implementations across modules.
• Configure SAP TM components: network, master data, freight order management, planning & optimization, carrier selection, tendering & tracking, settlement.
• Integrate SAP TM with SAP S/4HANA (SD, EWM, MM, FI) and ensure data migration.
• Prepare functional specs for enhancements and coordinate with ABAP/technical teams.
• Support testing (Unit, Integration, UAT) and cutover activities; assist go-live and hypercare.
• Provide end-user training and knowledge transfer; ensure clean core and performance optimization.

Role & responsibilities

Lead and participate in end-to-end SAP Transportation Management (TM) implementations

• Conduct business blueprint workshops to gather transportation and logistics requirements
• Design and configure SAP TM components including:
  • Transportation Network & Master Data
  • Freight Order Management
  • Transportation Planning & Optimization
  • Carrier Selection, Tendering & Tracking
  • Charge Calculation, Freight Settlement & Dispute Management
• Configure integration between SAP TM and SAP S/4HANA (SD, EWM, MM, FI)
• Define and configure pricing procedures, charge types, and settlement documents
• Support data migration (locations, lanes, business partners, rates)
• Prepare functional specifications for custom developments and enhancements
• Coordinate with technical/ABAP teams for interfaces, reports, and enhancements
• Execute and support Unit Testing, Integration Testing, UAT, and cutover activities
• Support go-live and hypercare phases
• Provide end-user training and knowledge transfer
• Ensure best practices, clean core, and performance optimization
