Job summary

Tekgence is seeking a SAP Test Manager to lead testing across SAP/ERP projects. The role demands 8+ years of experience, strong leadership in testing processes, and strategic planning for test automation and tools. Immediate joiners or serving notice period are preferred.

The incumbent will oversee end-to-end testing, manage defects, and coordinate with business stakeholders, developers and management to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Understand project requirements, ensure requirements, BPSDs, SRs are up to date and testing impact assessment; testing scope is appropriate.
• Manage end-to-end testing cycle: planning, preparing, executing, tracking and reporting across multiple projects.
• Oversee Defect Life Cycle Management from identification to resolution and closure.
• Track changes scheduled for weekly and monthly releases and adjust test scope accordingly.
• Prepare and review documentation to ensure test scope and plan are captured in change docs.
• Review/approve documentation with respect to testing.
• Perform Post Execution Reviews in ALM and ensure MM controls are covered.
• Review RTs requested by C RM post deployment; highlight anomalies and ensure corrective actions.
• Create and maintain Test Strategy and Test Plan documents; manage testing defects and test reports.
• Capture testing anomalies and corrective/preventive actions; document accordingly.
• Experience with ALM, UFT and automation testing.

SAP Test Manager

Strong experience of testing processes, test automation, & testing tools.

Strong leadership in Test Processes, Strategic Planning, Test Automation and Test Tools. Expertise in managing end to end Testing processes ensuring high quality deliverables.

Expert in developing and implementing comprehensive Test strategies, Test Plan. Oversee Test execution, Validate Test Results and ensure thorough Documentation of Test outcomes

Expert at developing test strategies, test cases, evaluating scripts, and putting them to use.

Establish and maintain communication channels between the business shareholders, testers, developers, and management.

Identifying and managing testing related risks, analyzing them, preparing, and implementing mitigation plans.

Should have proven experience managing SAP / ERP projects as a test manager.

Test Management -

1. Understand the project requirements, ensure Requirements, BPSDs, SRs are up to date and testing impact assessment, testing scope is appropriate
2. Managing end to end testing cycle - planning, preparing, executing, tracking, and reporting for multiple projects, ensuring testing processes and standards are adhered to.
3. Manage Defect Life Cycle Management, from identification and logging to resolution and closure.
4. Understand and manage the changes scheduled for the weekly and monthly releases
5. Preparation / Review of documentation and ensure test scope, plan are captured in change documentation.
6. Review / Approval of documentation with respect to testing.

Post Execution Reviews -

1. Perform Post Execution Reviews in ALM
2. Ensure all MM controls are adequately covered

Post Implementation Reviews -

1. Review of RTs requested by C&RM post deployment
2. Highlight the anomalies from testing SOPs
3. Ensure the corrective actions are taken by RT Owners

Documentation -

1. Experience with creating Test Strategy document, test plan document.
2. Experience with managing testing defects, creating test report.
3. Experience with managing, tracking, and recording testing anomalies / defects and corrective / preventive actions.

Tools -

1. Experience with ALM, UFT and any automation testing.

Governance and Service Improvements -

1. Ensure test management milestones, KPIs are documented, tracked, monitored, and reported.
2. Experience with preparing and presenting weekly / monthly dashboard / governance reports to customer stakeholders and project teams.
3. Experience with proposing and implementing test management improvements with an objective to improve quality and efficiency of testing services, processes and tools in tangible manner.
