Job summary

Cognoverse Technologies in Gurugram seeks an SAP SD Consultant with around 5 years of experience to drive a SAP S/4HANA migration project. You will bridge sales and distribution and ensure a smooth transition from legacy systems to S/4HANA.

You will map order-to-cash processes, design SD workflows, align with PM and QM, and lead UAT, change management, and post-migration adoption to achieve business value and continuity.

Qualifications

• Approximately 5 years of SAP SD consulting experience with end-to-end migration to S/4HANA.
• Experience with sales order management, pricing, delivery, and billing.
• Cross-functional exposure to PM and QM modules and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Migration Strategy & Business Continuity: Lead the SD data migration strategy, ensuring zero disruption during transition to S/4HANA.
• Process Mapping & Optimization: Partner with sales and distribution stakeholders to map workflows and design optimized order-to-cash processes.
• SD Workflow Design: Guide setup of core SD processes—customer master data, sales orders, pricing, delivery, and billing.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Ensure SD integrates with finance, procurement, maintenance, and QM for unified reporting.
• Business Validation & Testing: Lead UAT from a business perspective to ensure compliance and go-live readiness.
• Change Management & Adoption: Provide training and support to sales/SD teams during hyper-care.

Role Overview

Cognoverse Technologies is seeking a business-focused SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) Consultant with approximately 5 years of experience to drive a critical SAP S/4HANA migration project. In this role, you will act as the key liaison between the sales and distribution teams and the project team, ensuring a seamless transition from legacy systems to S/4HANA. Your primary objective will be to safeguard business continuity, map sales and distribution processes to the new system, and ensure that the migration delivers tangible business value and optimized sales and distribution operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Migration Strategy & Business Continuity: Lead the SD data migration strategy, ensuring zero disruption to daily sales and distribution operations, reporting, and compliance during the transition to S/4HANA.
• Process Mapping & Optimization: Partner with core sales and distribution stakeholders to evaluate current workflows, identify process gaps, and design optimized, future-ready order-to-cash processes within the new system.
• SD Workflow Design: Guide the setup of core SD processesincluding customer master data, sales orders, pricing, delivery, and billing—to align with corporate business strategies rather than just technical system requirements.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Ensure that SD processes integrate smoothly with broader business operations (such as finance, procurement, maintenance, and quality management), coordinating with Plant Maintenance (PM) and Quality Management (QM) teams where relevant, to maintain accurate and unified corporate reporting.
• Business Validation & Testing: Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) from a business perspective, ensuring the migrated system meets all sales and distribution compliance, reporting, and operational standards before go-live.
• Change Management & Adoption: Provide hands-on support and training to the sales and distribution teams post-migration, driving high user adoption and swiftly resolving any business-critical issues during the hyper-care period.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Experience: Approximately 5 years of professional experience in SAP SD consulting, with direct involvement in end-to-end system migrations or transitions to S/4HANA. Exposure to other modules such as Plant Maintenance (PM) and Quality Management (QM), including relevant cross-functional processes, is required.
• Business Acumen: Deep understanding of sales order management, pricing, delivery, billing, and related reporting requirements, with a proven ability to translate complex business needs into actionable project goals.
• Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to confidently present strategies and updates to business leaders and sales and distribution executives.
• Analytical Problem-Solving: Strong capability to anticipate business risks associated with system migrations and proactively design solutions to mitigate them.
