Job summary

Metalman Auto Pvt. Ltd. in Delhi/NCR seeks an experienced production planning specialist to manage MRP, BOM and routing in SAP. The role requires 3–4 years in auto manufacturing and a degree in mechanical/production studies.

You will collaborate with PPC for cycle-time validation and ensure accurate SAP master data across BOM, routing and work centers.

Qualifications

• Experience required: 3 to 4 years in auto industry or manufacturing.
• Qualification: BE/BTech/ Diploma/ MBA in Mechanical/Production.

Responsibilities

• Execute MRP runs as per defined planning frequency.
• Verify MRP parameters before each MRP Run.
• Analyze MRP results, shortages, excess inventory and exceptions.
• Maintain Production BOM in SAP and update as needed.
• Create and maintain routing and work centers.
• Update cycle times based on time studies and approvals.
• Audit SAP master data: BOM, Routing, Work Center, Production Version.

1. MRP & Production Planning

• Execute MRP runs as per defined planning frequency.
• Verify MRP parameters before MRP Run.
• Analyze MRP results, exception messages, shortages and excess inventory.
• Ensure correct MRP settings in Material Master.

2. Production BOM Management

• Create and maintain Production BOM in SAP.
• Make BOM changes based on Engineering Change / ECN.
• Ensure correct quantity, UOM, scrap and component applicability.
• Maintain BOM according to the latest drawing/revision.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Production for BOM corrections.

3. Routing & Cycle Time

• Create and maintain production Routing.
• Maintain operation sequence and Work Center.
• Maintain standard machine/manpower setup and processing times.
• Update Cycle Time based on approved time study.
• Verify Standard Value/Cycle Time against actual shop-floor conditions.
• Coordinate with Industrial Engineering/Production for cycle-time validation.

4. Work Center & Capacity

• Maintain relevant Work Centers.
• Ensure correct machine/work-center assignment.
• Maintain capacity and scheduling-related parameters.
• Support capacity planning and bottleneck identification.

6. SAP Master Data Accuracy

• Regularly audit BOM, Routing, Work Center and Production Version.
• Identify and rectify master-data errors.
• Maintain proper change-control records.
• Support SAP master-data cleanup and improvement activities.
