Job summary

Kumar Metal Industries is seeking an SAP PP Consultant to manage and support Production Planning operations across Head Office and multiple locations in India. You will cover PP, MM and FI/CO integrations to ensure seamless manufacturing and supply chain processes.

Demonstrate strong functional expertise in SAP PP, including MRP, production orders, routings, BOMs, work centers, and related functionalities. Provide end-to-end support and drive process improvements across the organization.

Qualifications

• Strong functional expertise in SAP PP with hands-on experience.
• Experience with MRP, production orders, BOMs, routings, and work centers.
• Ability to translate business requirements into SAP PP designs.
• Experience supporting PP-MM-SD-FI/CO integrations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end SAP PP support across locations.
• Analyze requirements and configure SAP PP modules.
• Maintain PP master data: materials, BOMs, routings, work centers.
• Conduct unit, integration testing and support UAT.
• Prepare functional docs, test scripts, user manuals.
• Provide user training and post-implementation support.
• Identify gaps and implement corrective/preventive solutions.
• Participate in enhancements and change requests.
• Recommend process improvements to optimize operations.

Job description

The SAP PP Consultant is responsible for managing and supporting SAP Production Planning operations in line with organizational objectives and growth strategies. The role ensures effective SAP support across Head Office and multiple locations, covering Production Planning, Purchasing, Quality, and Inventory Management to enable seamless manufacturing and supply chain processes.

Demonstrate strong functional expertise in the SAP PP module, including MRP, Production Orders, Routings, Bills of Material (BOM), Work Centers, and related functionalities.

Provide end-to-end functional and technical support for SAP PP and its integration with MM SD, and FI/CO modules to support end to end business processes

Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP PP functional designs and system configurations.

Maintain and manage PP master data such as materials, BOMs, routings, and work centers.

Support day-to-day production planning and execution activities, resolving system issues and user queries.

Identify system gaps, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive solutions.

Participate in enhancements, change requests, and system upgrades using standard SAP change management procedures.

Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).

Prepare and maintain functional documentation, process flows, test scripts, and user manuals.

Provide user training and post-implementation support to ensure effective system adoption.

Recommend process improvements and system enhancements to optimize manufacturing and planning operations.
