Job summary

Oriana Power in India seeks a senior SAP functional consultant with deep expertise across project execution, procurement, inventory, and operations. You will translate business needs into SAP specifications and coordinate with vendors for changes, enhancements, testing, and deployment.

The role requires hands-on SAP experience, strong MIS reporting capabilities, and effective stakeholder management to ensure accurate project data and timely decisions.

Qualifications

• 12 years of relevant experience in SAP functional consulting.
• Hands-on experience in SAP modules for project execution, procurement, inventory, and operations.
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional specs for SAP development and vendors.
• Coordinate with SAP vendor for CRs, enhancements, testing, and deployment.
• Proficient in generating MIS reports for monitoring across Engineering, SCM, and PMC.

Responsibilities

• Act as a functional bridge between senior management, business users, and technical team.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and stakeholders to ensure timely information updates across projects.
• Maintain project-wise master data in SAP and ensure data accuracy for decision making.
• Identify process gaps and drive improvements, including automation where feasible.
• Support UAT, user training, and documentation for new developments and enhancements.

Job description

The candidate should preferably have 12 years of relevant experience in SAP functional consulting and should possess the following capabilities:

Functional knowledge and hands-on experience in SAP modules relevant to project execution, procurement, inventory, and operations.

Ability to understand business requirements from internal teams and translate them into functional requirements for the SAP development team and application vendors.

Coordinate with the SAP vendor for change requests (CRs), enhancements, issue resolution, testing, and deployment.

Proficiency in generating MIS reports for monitoring projects across Engineering, SCM, PMC, and other business functions.

Hands-on experience with SAP, Vendor Management, and Stock Management applications.

Coordinate with Project Managers, Domain Heads, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate information updates across projects.

Maintain project-wise master data and ensure data accuracy within SAP to improve project monitoring and decision-making.

Identify process gaps, recommend improvements, and facilitate automation wherever feasible.

Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), user training, and documentation for new developments and enhancements.

Act as a functional bridge between senior management, business users, and the technical development team to ensure seamless execution of business requirements.
