Job Overview

• Role: SAP QM Functional Consultant / IT Analyst
• Experience Range: 7 to 12 Years (Positions mapped to C2, C3, or C3B bands depending on exact experience)
• Education: Bachelor of Engineering / Technology (B.E./B.Tech), MCA, or equivalent
• Location: Pan-India (Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad) / Remote options depending on the client project

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Design: Drive business requirement gathering workshops, analyze client quality processes, and construct "To-Be" business blueprints.
• System Configuration: End-to-end custom configuration of the SAP QM module to align with industry regulatory requirements.
• Lifecycle Testing: Author precise unit testing and System Integration Testing (SIT) scripts, and lead client User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Technical Specs: Write comprehensive Functional Specifications (FS) for custom RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows) and coordinate with ABAP developers.
• Data Migration: Map and migrate legacy quality master data into SAP systems using tools like LSMW or LTMC/Migration Cockpit.
• Hypercare Support: Deliver Level 2 and Level 3 production support, troubleshooting critical configuration defects and system performance bottlenecks.

Technical Skills & Functional Domain Competency

• Core SAP QM Capabilities
  • Master Data management: Inspection Characteristics (MICs), Sampling Procedures, Inspection Methods, Catalogs, and Inspection Plans.
  • Quality Inspection processing: Incoming (Goods Receipt), In-Process (Production), and Outgoing (Goods Issue) lot workflows.
  • Defect Management, Quality Notifications, and full Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) tracking.
  • Quality Certificates (incoming and outgoing) and specialized processes like Stability Studies or Calibration Inspection.
• Cross-Module Integration (Critical Criterion)
  • QM-MM: Goods Receipt inspections, Source Inspections, and Supplier Quality Info Records.
  • QM-PP/PP-PI: In-process checkpoints, inspection points, and routing links (strongly required for Pharma and manufacturing accounts).
  • QM-SD: Delivery inspections, customer complaints, and returns processing.
  • QM-EWM / WM: Inspection lot resolution linked directly to modern warehouse staging.
