Job summary

Birlasoft is seeking an experienced SAP Digital Manufacturing Consultant with strong PP expertise to design and implement SAP Digital Manufacturing solutions. You will connect shop-floor processes with SAP ERP/S/4HANA and guide the full lifecycle of implementations.

The role requires deep manufacturing domain knowledge and hands-on SAP DM experience, including integration with ERP systems and dashboarding capabilities.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of SAP experience with DMC and PP modules.
• Hands-on experience with SAP Digital Manufacturing (DMC).
• Minimum one end-to-end SAP Digital Manufacturing implementation.

Responsibilities

• Participate in end-to-end implementation of SAP Digital Manufacturing (SAP DMC).
• Gather requirements and design processes with stakeholders.
• Translate shop-floor and production processes into SAP DM designs.
• Configure SAP Digital Manufacturing solutions and integrate with SAP ERP/S/4HANA.
• Collaborate with SAP PP teams to align production planning with shop-floor execution.
• Support interfaces between SAP DM, ERP and shop-floor systems.
• Prepare functional specs, config docs, test scenarios, and user docs.
• Support UAT, testing, deployment, and post-go-live stabilization.
• Provide knowledge transfer to users and operations teams.
• Drive continuous improvement of digital manufacturing processes.

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP Digital Manufacturing Consultant with strong functional knowledge of SAP Production Planning (PP) and hands‑on implementation experience in SAP Digital Manufacturing.

The consultant will be responsible for understanding manufacturing business processes, designing SAP DM solutions, integrating shop‑floor manufacturing processes with SAP ERP/S/4HANA, and supporting the complete implementation lifecycle.

The ideal candidate should combine manufacturing domain knowledge, SAP PP expertise, and SAP Digital Manufacturing implementation experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in end‑to‑end implementation of SAP Digital Manufacturing (SAP DMC) solutions.
• Conduct requirement‑gathering and process‑design workshops with manufacturing and business stakeholders.
• Analyze shop‑floor and production processes and translate business requirements into SAP DM solution designs.
• Configure and implement SAP Digital Manufacturing solutions based on business requirements.
• Work closely with SAP PP teams to ensure alignment between production planning and shop‑floor execution.
• Support integration between SAP Digital Manufacturing and SAP S/4HANA/ECC, particularly around manufacturing and production processes.
• Work with production orders, manufacturing master data, shop‑floor execution and production confirmation processes.
• Support solution design, configuration, testing, deployment and post‑go‑live stabilization.
• Prepare functional specifications, configuration documents, test scenarios and user documentation.
• Coordinate with technical/integration teams for interfaces between SAP DM, ERP and relevant shop‑floor systems.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing and support UAT.
• Troubleshoot functional and integration issues during implementation and production support.
• Provide knowledge transfer and support to business users and application‑support teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and optimization of digital manufacturing processes.

Mandatory Skills
