Job summary

Neev is seeking a seasoned Lead SAP Cloud ALM & Enterprise Toolchain Architect to define and govern the complete ALM strategy for a global SAP S/4HANA transformation. You will own Cloud ALM adoption across regions, build end-to-end traceability, and integrate enterprise tools across the lifecycle.

This role demands strong governance, hands-on ALM configuration, and leadership to drive quality, release management, and Run/Hypercare readiness across multi‑region programs.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years hands-on SAP implementation in large enterprises.
• 3+ years configuring SAP Cloud ALM or SAP Solution Manager with Cloud ALM transition.
• Strong knowledge of SAP Activate across Discover to Run.
• Proven experience in Greenfield SAP S/4HANA global implementations.

Responsibilities

• Define and govern the Cloud ALM strategy and governance across regions.
• Establish a governance framework for requirements, process modeling, testing, deployment controls, and operations.
• Serve as the single accountable owner for Cloud ALM adoption across global regions and partners.
• Architect and manage data flows across the integrated ALM toolchain and ensure end‑to‑end traceability.
• Design and implement integration between SAP Cloud ALM and enterprise tools (Signavio, LeanIX, Jira/ServiceNow, Tricentis/HP ALM, Confluence/SharePoint).
• Ensure full lifecycle lineage from Business Scope to Deployments.
• Configure Cloud ALM for process hierarchy, requirements, tests, defects, and deployments.
• Lead Fit-to-Standard workshops and drive realization through standard SAP content.
• Provide program visibility with baselines, milestones, and executive dashboards.
• Oversee test strategy (Unit/SIT/UAT/Regression) and multi-regional test execution.
• Coordinate release planning, deployment tracking, and Cloud ALM‑driven cutovers.
• Integrate CI/CD and SAP Transport Management where applicable.
• Support Run/Hypercare with monitoring, KPIs, and operational readiness.

Position Executive Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Lead SAP Cloud ALM & Enterprise Toolchain Architect to define, govern, and operationalize the complete Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) strategy for our global Greenfield SAP S/4HANA transformation program.

Acting as the single point of accountability for SAP Cloud ALM adoption across all global regions and workstreams, the ideal candidate will establish cross-functional governance, build end-to-end lifecycle traceability, integrate enterprise toolchains, and drive quality engineering across all phases of the SAP Activate framework.

Key Responsibilities & Core Governance

• Cloud ALM Strategy & Governance
• Strategy Definition: Formulate and execute a comprehensive Cloud ALM strategy aligned with SAP Activate methodology across all global rollout templates.
• Governance Framework: Establish and enforce ALM governance standards across requirements gathering, business process hierarchy modeling, testing execution, defect management, deployment controls, and operations.
• Single Accountability: Serve as the central point of contact and accountability for Cloud ALM adoption across global regions, system integrators, and project workstreams.
• Enterprise Toolchain Integration & Traceability
• Toolchain Management: Architect and manage data flows across the integrated ALM toolchain, connecting SAP Cloud ALM with enterprise architecture, modeling, testing, and operational tools.
• End-to-End Lineage: Maintain complete vertical and horizontal traceability across the lifecycle: Business Scope → Process Design → Requirements/User Stories → Development Units → Test Cases → Defects → Transports/Deployments.
• Integration Engineering: Design and implement robust integration and real-time data synchronization between SAP Cloud ALM and enterprise solutions, including:
  • Process Modeling: Signavio
  • Architecture & Capability Mapping: LeanIX
  • Work Management & ITSM: Jira / ServiceNow
  • Test Management: Tricentis, HP ALM, or equivalent
  • Documentation Systems: Confluence, SharePoint
• Solution Enablement & Fit-to-Standard Execution
• Cloud ALM Configuration: Setup and configure SAP Cloud ALM for:
  • Business process hierarchy structure and solution documentation
  • Requirement, scope, and user story management
  • Test planning, script execution, and defect tracking
  • Task management and deployment tracking
• Fit-to-Standard Governance: Enable and support Fit-to-Standard workshops using standard SAP Best Practices content and Cloud ALM pre-delivered scope elements.
• Program Visibility: Design and maintain project scope baselines, milestone tracking, and real-time status dashboards for executive program leadership.
• Test Quality Management
• Test Strategy Formulation: Design and govern the program-wide testing framework (Unit Testing, System Integration Testing [SIT], User Acceptance Testing [UAT], and Regression Testing) inside SAP Cloud ALM.
• Multi-Regional Execution: Coordinate test execution across multi-regional teams, third-party system integrators, and varying time zones.
• Quality KPIs: Provide executive-level reporting on test coverage, defect burn-down rates, quality KPIs, and release readiness dashboards.
• Release, Deployment & Cutover Management
• Release Orchestration: Oversee release planning, deployment tracking, and release governance using Cloud ALM.
• CI/CD & Transport Integration: Connect Cloud ALM with SAP Transport Management and modern CI/CD delivery pipelines where applicable.
• Cutover Execution: Support cutover sequence planning, dependency mapping, and real-time deployment monitoring.
• Integration & Operations Readiness (Run / Hypercare Phase)
• Monitoring Setup: Configure operational monitoring within Cloud ALM, including:
  • Integration & Exception Monitoring
  • Business Process Monitoring
  • Automated Job Monitoring
• Operational Transition: Lead the transition of ALM artifacts from the project phase to Hypercare and steady-state operations (Run phase).
• Alerting & KPIs: Establish operational KPIs, threshold alerts, and health monitoring for steady-state governance.
• Stakeholder Leadership & Vendor Coaching
• Subject Matter Expert (SME): Act as the lead SME for the Program Management Office (PMO), System Integrator partners, SAP, and regional business leaders.
• Enablement & Upskilling: Coach and upskill project team members, functional leads, and regional business units on Cloud ALM best practices and standardized tool usage.

Required Skills & Qualifications

SAP ALM & Program Expertise

• 7–10+ years of hands-on SAP implementation experience within large-scale enterprise environments.
• 3+ years direct experience configuring and leading SAP Cloud ALM (or SAP Solution Manager with a proven track record of Cloud ALM transition).
• Strong, practical knowledge of SAP Activate methodology across all project phases (Discover, Prepare, Explore, Realize, Deploy, Run).
• Proven experience in Greenfield SAP S/4HANA global implementations.

Functional & Technical Knowledge

• Solid comprehension of core SAP S/4HANA business processes (e.g., Finance, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Logistics).
• Hands-on familiarity with SAP Best Practices content and enterprise process models.
• Working knowledge of test automation frameworks (e.g., Tricentis, CBTA).
• Familiarity with SAP integration technologies (SAP BTP, Cloud Integration / CPI) and SAP transport management concepts.

• Proven track record in stakeholder management within complex, multi-vendor, global environments.

Preferred Qualifications (nice To Have)

• Official SAP Cloud ALM Certification.
• Prior experience in large-scale rollouts (multi-country, multi-template architectures).
• Exposure to modern DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines within SAP enterprise landscapes.
• Prior experience in roles such as Enterprise ALM Lead, QA Lead, or Test Manager.
