Job summary

Volvo Cars Tech Hub in Bangalore invites an experienced SAP OpenText VIM expert to join the Vendor Invoicing team. This role focuses on enabling digital invoicing solutions within finance and collaborating with global stakeholders.

You will work with SAP OpenText VIM, COA-based approvals, and integrations with Ariba/Concur/Filedglass/SRM to deliver scalable, reliable invoicing processes. The role supports a hybrid model across Sweden, Belgium, and India.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of SAP OpenText VIM experience with at least 2 full-cycle implementations.
• Strong configuration across VIM components, input channels, and workflows.
• Experience with SAP AP/AR/GL and COA-based approval workflows.
• Familiarity with Ariba, Concur, Fieldglass, SRM, OneSource and related integrations.
• Excellent documentation skills for Functional Specifications and config rationales.

The role is within our Vendor Invoicing team, which is responsible for enabling a bright future at Volvo Cars through digital innovation within finance. The team has a hybrid setup between Sweden, Belgium and India and works with stakeholder globally.

We are looking for someone with strong skills in SAP VIM (Vendor Invoice Management). You will be working with a team of highly ambitious SAP professionals, currently engaged in agile product development focusing on co-creating modern direct business transactions that partners and customers love. This role is based out of Volvo Cars Tech Hub in Bangalore, India.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead requirement gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and production support activities for SAP OpenText VIM solutions.
• Prepare Functional Specifications, Configuration Rationales, and project documentation.
• Configure and manage VIM components including SPRO settings, Foundation Configuration, IES/IC4S/ICC/BCC, and OpenText Archive Server.
• Manage and optimize input channels such as Mail, OAWD, IDOC, and XML.
• Design, implement, and support invoice approval workflows, including Chart of Authority (COA)–based processes.
• Oversee integration between VIM and SAP modules such as Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), Tax.
• Coordinate flows with external applications such as Ariba, Concur, Fieldglass, SRM, OneSource, and Prime Revenue.
• Configure VIM process types, options, parking processes, DP-based approval flows, and multi-backend workflow scenarios.
• Support and troubleshoot enhancements, VIM/IES-related issues, and workflow exceptions.
• Support in analysis, testing and validations for VIM upgrades.
• Work with VIM Fiori apps for invoice coding, approvals, and user experience improvements.
• Develop and customize reports, including working with CDS views for analytics (preferred).
• Support EDI-related processes and integrations within the VIM landscape.
• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum project environments and participate in sprint planning, reviews, and daily stand‑ups.

What you'll bring

• 6+ years of hands‑on SAP OpenText VIM experience, including at least 2 full-cycle end‑to‑end implementations (VIM 7.5, VIM 20.4 on S/4HANA or above).
• Strong configuration expertise across VIM components, input channels, workflow design, and exception handling.
• Solid understanding of SAP Accounts Payable (AP), and linked Accounts receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), Tax processes.
• Experience in designing and managing invoice approval workflows using Chart of Authority (COA).
• Familiarity with external systems like Ariba, Concur, Fieldglass, SRM, OneSource, Prime Revenue.
• Proficiency in handling complex enhancements, troubleshooting VIM and IES issues, and supporting multi‑backend landscapes.
• Hands‑on experience with VIM Fiori apps, report development, and preferably CDS‑based analytics.
• Strong documentation skills, including Functional Specifications and configuration rationale.
• Experience with EDI integration and exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, multitasking, and communication skills.
