Job summary

Capgemini Hyderabad-based team seeks an SAP Data Analyst to bridge raw data and business operations. You will manage, extract, and interpret data in SAP environments, supporting executive decision-making and performance optimization.

Role involves data modeling, validation, and transforming SAP data into insights using Power BI, Tableau, or SAP Analytics Cloud. Collaboration with IT and business units is essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on SAP Datasphere or similar data warehousing experience.
• Strong SQL proficiency with data extraction and manipulation.
• Proficient in Python and ELT workflows for data prep.
• Solid understanding of SAP S/4HANA and BW/4HANA data models.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Azure).
• Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud for reporting.

An SAP Data Analyst bridges the gap between raw data and business operations. They manage, extract, and interpret data within SAP environments to optimize performance, ensure data integrity, and support executive decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Provides high level of expertise in the design and functionality of business applications
• Understands the business objectives and how best they can be supported by IT
• Responsible for the conceptual design of business applications
• Reviews and validates the technical design for business applications provided by the supplier
• Performs quality review checks on project deliverables
• Validates suppliers estimates
• Performs impact analysis of application changes across various components
• Reviews and validates the detailed technical design for business applications provided by the supplier to ensure alignment with business requirements
• Performs quality review checks on project deliverables
• Supports the implementation activities, troubleshooting system environmental issues, training as required
• Query SAP modules (such as SAP HANA, SAP BW, or SAP S/4HANA) to pull and compile actionable business datasets.
• Maintain, audit, and update system master data to ensure accuracy across cross-functional enterprise systems
• Transform raw SAP metrics into visual insights using enterprise tools like Power BI, Tableau, or SAP Analytics Cloud.
• Investigate system anomalies, data drift, and data quality issues, implementing fixes to prevent operational disruptions

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with SAP Datasphere (or SAP Data Warehouse Cloud)
• Proficiency in SQL, with additional knowledge of Python and ELT frameworks
• Understanding of SAP S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, and Business Technology Platform (BTP) services
• Familiarity with integrating cloud data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, Azure).
• Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud - Reporting
