Job summary

Sopra Steria in Noida or Chennai is seeking an experienced ABAP S4HANA consultant to deliver complex WRICEF solutions and CDS views on SAP S/4HANA. You will translate business requirements into technical designs, develop and document ABAP artifacts, and ensure quality through testing.

Key qualifications include strong hands-on ABAP, knowledge of SD/MM/FI/CO, and a track record of mentoring junior developers in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• Education: B.E./ B.Tech./ MCA.
• Strong ABAP S/4HANA knowledge across WRICEF, OOABAP, IDOCs and CDS.
• Good functional knowledge of SAP SD/MM/FI/CO and testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA ABAP with WRICEF objects, OOABAP, IDOCs, ABAP New Syntax, CDS Views, AMDP, and BTP; exposure to Fiori/UI5 is preferred.
• Translate business requirements into best-fit technical solutions and ensure timely issue resolution.
• Lead and mentor junior developers; drive small to mid-sized teams; apply project management concepts.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description

ABAP S4HANA (8 to 10 years)

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA ABAP with expertise in WRICEF objects, OOABAP, IDOCs, ABAP New Syntax, CDS Views, AMDP, and BTP; exposure to Fiori/UI5 is preferred.
• Good functional knowledge of SAP SD, MM, FI, and CO with strong analytical skills, technical specification writing, and experience in developing, documenting, and executing Unit, System, Integration, and UAT testing.
• Proven expertise in performance tuning, application support, issue resolution, peer reviews, and identifying optimal technical solutions by challenging existing designs and proposing better alternatives.
• Experience in driving business requirement discussions, translating requirements into best-fit technical solutions, and ensuring timely resolution of issues by effectively prioritizing and mobilizing teams.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in mentoring junior developers, leading small to mid-sized teams, and applying basic project management concepts.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and multitasking skills with the ability to deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.
