Job summary

Forward Eye Technologies is seeking a skilled SAP ABAP on HANA Developer with hands-on experience in S/4HANA projects. The role focuses on ABAP programming, HANA data modeling, CDS and AMDP, and delivering high-performance solutions.

You will design and optimize ABAP on HANA programs, create CDS views and OData services for Fiori/UI5, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on WRICEF objects, testing, and documentation.

Qualifications

• 5-9 years hands-on ABAP development with at least 2+ years on HANA.
• Expertise in HANA DB development, including SQL scripting, CDS views, and AMDP.
• Strong ABAP on HANA performance tuning and code optimization.
• Familiar with S/4HANA architecture and best practices.
• Knowledge of SAP UI5/Fiori integration via OData and CDS views.
• Experience with WRICEF objects development.
• Understanding of SD, MM, FI, CO modules for integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ABAP programs optimized for HANA.

Job description

We are looking for a skilled SAP ABAP on HANA Developer with experience in S/4HANA projects. The ideal candidate should have expertise in ABAP programming, database development on HANA, and performance tuning for high-performance applications.

Key Responsibilities

• ABAP on HANA Development
  • Develop and maintain ABAP programs optimized for HANA databases.
  • Write and optimize SQL scripts, stored procedures, and CDS (Core Data Services) views for data modeling and extraction.
  • Utilize AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures) for complex data manipulations.
• HANA Modeling and SQL Scripting
  • Design and implement HANA models, including Calculation Views, Analytical Views, and Attribute Views.
  • Optimize data models for performance and scalability, ensuring high-efficiency data retrieval.
  • Work closely with functional teams to define data models and provide efficient solutions for data-intensive applications.
• Performance Tuning
  • Conduct performance tuning of ABAP programs running on HANA, ensuring minimal data footprint and optimized runtime.
  • Use SQL Trace, ABAP Trace, and other performance tools to identify bottlenecks and optimize code.
• SAP S/4HANA Integration
  • Work on SAP S/4HANA projects, ensuring all ABAP developments align with S/4HANA best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for implementing and enhancing custom functionality.
• Custom Developments
  • Develop custom WRICEF (Workflows, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) objects using ABAP on HANA.
  • Extend standard SAP functionalities and customize them as per business requirements using User Exits, BAdIs, and Enhancements.
• CDS and OData Integration
  • Develop and implement CDS Views for real-time reporting and data extraction.
  • Create and maintain OData services for integrating SAP with front-end Fiori/UI5 applications.
• Testing and Documentation
  • Perform unit testing of ABAP developments and support integration testing activities.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including technical specifications, test scripts, and user guides.

Required Skills

• 5-9 years of hands‑on experience in ABAP programming, with at least 2+ years on HANA.
• Expertise in HANA database development, including SQL scripting, CDS Views, and AMDP.
• Strong experience with ABAP on HANA performance tuning and code optimization.
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA architecture and best practices.
• Knowledge of SAP UI5/Fiori integration using OData and CDS Views.
• Experience with WRICEF objects development.
• Understanding of SAP modules like SD, MM, FI, CO for functional and technical integration.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in S/4HANA migration projects.

Educational Requirements
