Job summary

Forward Eye Technologies in Pune/Chennai and other SAP-ready hubs seeks an experienced SAP ABAP HANA Consultant to deliver high-performance ABAP solutions in SAP S/4HANA environments. You will work with functional teams to design, develop, and implement custom ABAP applications on HANA.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in ABAP, with 2-3 years in HANA, and strong skills in AMDP, CDS, OData, Fiori, and performance tuning across SAP modules.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of SAP ABAP development experience, with 2-3 years focused on SAP HANA.
• Proficient in ABAP, ABAP Objects and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Experience with Fiori and OData services.

Responsibilities

• ABAP Development on HANA: Design and develop custom SAP applications using ABAP in HANA-based environments.
• HANA Modeling: Develop and optimize data models using Attribute Views, Analytical Views, and Calculation Views.
• Performance Tuning: Analyze and enhance the performance of SAP applications and programs.
• Integration: Work with SAP functional consultants to integrate ABAP applications with other SAP modules and external systems.
• Troubleshooting and Debugging: Provide advanced troubleshooting and debugging support for SAP applications.
• Custom Code Remediation: Conduct remediations for S/4HANA conversion projects.
• Fiori and UX Development: Collaborate to implement SAP Fiori apps and enhance UX, develop OData services.

We are looking for a highly skilled SAP ABAP HANA Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ABAP programming with a focus on SAP HANA. This role will involve working closely with functional teams to design, develop, and implement custom solutions in SAP S/4HANA environments. You will be responsible for ensuring high-performance, scalable, and secure applications.

Key Responsibilities

ABAP Development on HANA

• Design and develop custom SAP applications using ABAP in HANA-based environments.

HANA Modeling

• Develop and optimize data models in SAP HANA using modeling techniques such as Attribute Views, Analytical Views, and Calculation Views.
• Ensure that these models are efficient and meet business requirements.

Performance Tuning

• Analyze and enhance the performance of SAP applications and programs.
• Use tools like SQL trace and performance analysis to identify and resolve bottlenecks.

Integration

• Work with SAP functional consultants to integrate ABAP applications with other SAP modules and external systems.
• Utilize OData services, REST APIs, and other integration technologies.

Troubleshooting and Debugging

• Provide advanced troubleshooting and debugging support for SAP applications. Identify and resolve issues in custom programs, workflows, and HANA-based applications.

Custom Code Remediation

• Conduct custom code remediation and optimization activities as part of S/4HANA conversion projects.
• Ensure compatibility with SAP HANA's capabilities and new SAP standards.

Fiori and UX Development

• Collaborate with UI developers to implement SAP Fiori applications and enhance user experiences.
• Develop OData services to support SAP Fiori front-end applications.

Documentation and Best Practices

• Create comprehensive technical documentation for custom developments, including design specifications and user manuals.
• Follow SAP best practices and guidelines for ABAP and HANA development.

Qualifications

Experience

• 5+ years of SAP ABAP development experience, with at least 2-3 years focused on SAP HANA.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in ABAP, ABAP Objects, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Strong experience with HANA-specific development, including AMDP, CDS, and HANA SQL.
• Expertise in performance tuning, debugging, and code optimization for HANA environments.
• Experience with SAP Fiori and OData services.
• Knowledge of SAP Workflow, IDocs, and ALE technologies.

SAP HANA

• Understanding of SAP HANA architecture, data modeling, and database administration basics.
