Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a senior Salesforce Architect with extensive enterprise architecture experience. You will own end-to-end Salesforce program delivery, collaborate with delivery managers and architects, and guide customers in adopting emerging technologies, while ensuring architectural integrity and program success.

Expected to lead strategic initiatives, manage risk, and engage in pre-sales activities with prospects to drive value for large enterprise clients.

Qualifications

• Requires 12+ years in enterprise architecture with 10+ years on Salesforce platform.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical aspects of a Salesforce.com program: data migrations, data quality, systems integrations, AppExchange, and custom development.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to the client and guide deployments of emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with Delivery Managers and Solution Architects to architect technology solutions.
• Identify and manage risk areas; ensure issues are resolved and programs stay on track.
• Lead strategic initiatives to grow the practice and contribute to knowledge sharing.
• Lead pre-sales activities such as discovery, technical deep-dive sessions, and POC development with prospects.
• Liaise with Salesforce product teams to support client implementations.

Role & responsibilities

• 12+ years enterprise architecture experience with at least 10+ years on Salesforce platform
• Strong application design skills combined with strong data, integration, and security architecture skills
• Strong presentation skills. Able to effectively present and defend a point of view to a variety of audiences
• Detail-oriented individual with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to effectively develop materials that are appropriate for the audience
• A great listener with the ability to communicate with people in diverse roles
• Proven ability to analyse, design, and optimise business processes via technology and integration
• Resourceful and innovative thinker who can work through and solve problems
• Ability to convey and convince customers of best practices at various levels within a large organisation

• In-depth understanding of the capabilities and constraints of the Salesforce
• Strong technical foundation: advanced structured programming (APEX, Force.com, .Net, Java), relational database concepts and structures, structured system analysis and design methods, etc.
• Demonstrates successful implementation of Batch Apex and/or Schedule Apex development.
• Understands web services and other technologies that can be used to transport data in an enterprise environment and interact with Salesforce.com

• Manage customer expectations; negotiate solutions to complex problems with both the customer and third-party partners
• Review and correct project/program direction, approach, and key artefacts to keep programs on track and solutions extendable and maintainable going forward
• Work closely with Delivery Managers, Solution Architects, and directly with clients to architect technology solutions to meet client needs
• Identify and lead strategic initiatives to grow the practice; serving as an active contributor to the communitys overall knowledge base and expertise
• Contribute to a program vision while advising and articulating program/project strategies on enabling technologies including the Salesforce Platform
• Lead the technical architecture team for an enterprise-level customer engagement
• From time-to-time, the TA may be expected to partake in other pre-sales activities such as discovery and technical deep-dive sessions, Proof-Of-Concept (POC) development with prospects
