Salesforce Lead Engineer

This is a varied delivery role, with the following responsibilities assigned, depending on your skills and experience as well as company needs:

Overview

The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer is responsible for understanding business requirements and delivering high quality technical solutions that empower the Marketing teams to utilize the Marketing Cloud automation platform.

Responsibilities

• Salesforce Marketing Cloud implementation, configuration, data migration, and working with Marketing Cloud Connect, and other integrations.
• Lead requirements gathering, solution design, and writing statements of work.
• Communicate project concepts and outcomes to client project stakeholders.
• Design and delivery of solutions in Email Studio.
• Design and implement automated email/mobile journeys using Email Studio, Mobile Studio, Automation Studio and Journey Builder, and advise clients on optimizing further.
• Strong understanding of digital marketing KPIs, such as email marketing, PPC and other marketing conversion metrics.
• Experience in reporting and analyzing email activity using Email Studio reports and Journey Builder. (Nice to have) proficiency with Data Views and Discover Reports within Analytics Builder, Einstein Engagement.
• Design and/or build integrations between Marketing Cloud and third-party applications or data sources.
• Conduct user training and actively promote user adoption of Marketing Cloud.
• Track record for delivering marketing automation projects in a fast‑paced environment, and able to successfully keep to deadlines.
• Deep, hands‑on technical understanding of SFMC’s data extensions, contact architecture, and integration and automation capabilities.
• Hands‑on development experience with AMPscript, SSJS, HTML and CSS.
• Customization of Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions with REST APIs, AMPscript, SSJS and SQL development, including email and CloudPage template development.
• Develop automated email/mobile journeys using Email Studio, Mobile Studio, Automation Studio and Journey Builder.
• Ability to engage in technical discussions with clients.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Marketing Cloud solutions, including data and automation errors.
• Should be a Certified Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer.

• Maintain and document technical processes and marketing automation procedures and provide seamless hand‑off to business users to utilize.
