Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel in India is seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer to design, build, and maintain platform components across Sales, Service, and Experience Cloud. You will collaborate with architects to implement scalable enhancements, maintain technical docs, and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Gearset, ensuring smooth release cycles.

The role requires 5+ years of Salesforce development, strong Apex/SOQL/SOSL, and a solid grounding in REST/SOAP APIs,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Salesforce platform development experience with Platform Developer I cert.
• Strong knowledge of Apex, SOQL, SOSL, Visualforce, Lightning, and Flow.
• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, DevOps, and GitHub/GitHub Actions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and debug Salesforce components and scalable enhancements.
• Create and maintain technical docs, integrate third-party apps, participate in standups.
• Participate in architecture discussions, peer code reviews, and troubleshoot issues.

What You'll Do

• Develop, maintain, and debug Salesforce platform components using Salesforce and SDLC best practices while collaborating with solution and technical architects to maintain platform stability and implement scalable enhancements.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, implement and maintain integrations with third‑party applications, and participate in daily stand‑ups to ensure transparency and alignment across the Center of Excellence (CoE).
• Participate in architecture and design discussions, conduct peer code reviews to drive consistent quality, and troubleshoot bugs and issues while contributing technical insights to support activities.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Gearset, and oversee end‑to‑end release management processes across Sales, Service, and Experience Cloud environments.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience developing on the Salesforce platform (Sales, Service, Experience Cloud) with Platform Developer I certification and proficiency in Apex, SOQL, SOSL, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Flow.
• Detailed knowledge of Salesforce.com architecture and security best practices with strong experience in DevOps, SDLC best practices, and GitHub/GitHub Actions (preferred).
• Demonstrated expertise with REST/SOAP APIs, web services, and development tools including VSCode, Apex Data Loader, Tooling API, Postman, Jira, Confluence, and GitHub.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, growth mindset, and curiosity with excellent collaboration abilities and technical analysis and documentation capabilities.
