Job summary

Guidehouse in Chennai, India invites a Salesforce-focused BA/Consultant with 5+ years of IT systems development experience. Responsibilities include stakeholder engagement, requirements refinement, and crafting user stories and designs for Salesforce solutions.

You will lead declarative configurations, data modeling, external integrations, and automation while collaborating with project teams in a hybrid work environment. Strong communication and Agile experience are essential.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required.
• Minimum of five years in IT systems development.
• At least one current Salesforce certification (Admin, App Builder & Sales/Service/Community Clouds).
• US Citizenship required for this role.
• Experience with AI tools.
• Hybrid work environment experience.
• Hands-on with declarative automation in Salesforce, including Lightning Flow Builder.
• Experience with low-code Salesforce Lightning Experience.
• Experience with dynamic forms, advanced formulas, and validation rules.
• Experience with business process definition, process mapping, and reengineering.
• Experience writing Epics and user stories for Salesforce requirements.
• Experience with data migrations to/from Salesforce.
• Understanding of levers for B2B/B2C/hybrid models.
• Excellent written and oral communication, teamwork, and collaboration.
• Experience with Agile or Hybrid-Agile methodology.

Responsibilities

• Engage customer stakeholders to understand desired outcomes and define success criteria.

• Develop industry accelerators and contribute to thought leadership materials.
• Draft custom development specs and manage delivery/testing with development teams.
• Iterate Salesforce solutions in an adaptive-agile cycle with the product owner.
• Develop training curriculum and deliver end-user training.
• Collaborate with Project Manager to manage scope, budget, and timelines.

What You Will Do:

• Engage customer stakeholders to understand desired business outcomes and define success criteria

• Articulate to customer stakeholders the value of recommended solutions and approach

• Lead Discovery and requirements refinement sessions to uncover customers’ business, functional, and technological requirements

• Synthesize requirements to create clear and comprehensive user stories and solution design documentation

• Perform fit-gap analysis between Salesforce functionality and client requirements

• Develop innovative Salesforce solutions, involving declarative configuration of Salesforce, creation and refinement of complex data models, external integration, business process automation, and other custom functionality

• Develop innovative industry accelerators and contribute to thought leadership white paper development

• Draft custom development specifications and manage the delivery and testing of the functionality by Development Resources

• Iterate Salesforce solutions through an adaptive‑agile cycle with the customer Product Owner

• Develop a training curriculum and deliver training sessions to the solution’s end users

• Work with the Guidehouse Project Manager to manage a project to scope, budget, and timeline expectations

What You Will Need:

• BA/BS degree

• A Minimum of FIVE (5) years of work experience in information technology systems development

• Minimum of ONE (1) Current Salesforce Certifications (Admin, App Builder & Sales/Service/Community Clouds)

• US Citizenship is contractually required for this role

• Experience with AI tools

• Selected candidate must be able to work in a hybrid environment

• Hands‑on experience with declarative automation features of Salesforce, including Salesforce Lightning Flow Builder

• Experience building applications with the low‑code features of Salesforce Lightning Experience

• Experience with dynamic forms, advanced formulas, and validation rules

• Experience with business process definition, process mapping, and reengineering

• Experience writing Epics and user stories to capture Salesforce requirements

• Experience with data migrations to and from Salesforce

• Understanding of the key levers for B2B, B2C, hybrid business models

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Great teamwork and collaboration skills

• Experience with Agile or Hybrid‑Agile methodology

What Would Be Nice To Have:

• Experience in “Big 4” or equivalent established consulting firm and/or Salesforce Platinum partner is highly desired

• Experience with public sector clients preferred

• Demonstrable experience in at least one of the Public Sector Solutions or Omnistudio Consulting

• Degree in Business, Computer Science, or Engineering

• MBA preferred
