About HI Tours
HI Tours is part of the HI Tours Group and specializes in custom luxury holidays and honeymoons across Asia, Europe and the Middle East. Every trip is built around your dates, your pace and your budget by a holiday specialist who knows the destination first-hand. In thirty years, we have sent millions of happy travelers on their way.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Sales Specialist Long Haul (Outbound) to convert incoming customer enquiries into confirmed bookings for premium international holidays.
The role involves managing inbound enquiries generated through HI Tours' marketing channels, website, referrals and other sources, followed by outbound sales calls, customer consultations and consistent follow-ups to convert prospective customers into bookings.
You will manage the customer journey from the first enquiry until the booking deposit is received. Your responsibility will be to understand customer requirements, recommend suitable long-haul destinations, present customized holiday proposals, build customer confidence and drive profitable sales conversions.
A dedicated Product Team handles holiday design and costing, while the Guest Experience Team takes over after the booking deposit and handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Inbound Enquiry Management: Handle incoming holiday enquiries from prospective customers interested in international long-haul holidays and connect with them promptly through outbound calls, WhatsApp and emails.
- Customer Discovery: Understand customer preferences, travel dates, budget, duration, interests, travel style and expectations through consultative sales conversations.
- Destination Consultation: Recommend suitable long-haul destinations and holiday experiences based on customer requirements, including Europe, the UK, Scandinavia, Australia, New Zealand, Africa and the Americas.
- Holiday Briefing: Prepare clear and comprehensive customer briefs for the Product Team to develop suitable customized holiday proposals.
- Proposal Understanding: Review proposed itineraries and pricing, clarify questions with the relevant team and ensure you are confident before presenting them to customers.
- Holiday Presentation: Present every holiday proposal over a call or virtual meeting, explaining destinations, routes, hotels, experiences and itinerary highlights in a way that connects with customer interests.
- Customer Revisions: Coordinate one round of changes based on customer feedback and work towards a timely booking decision.
- Sales Conversion: Build customer confidence, address objections, handle negotiations and secure booking deposits without relying on unauthorized discounts.
- Outbound Follow-up Management: Follow the prescribed follow-up schedule for quoted but unpaid enquiries through calls and messages, and close follow-up activity once the schedule is complete.
- CRM Management: Record all customer conversations, requirements, commitments, follow-ups and enquiry status accurately in the CRM.
- Guest Handover: Introduce the customer by name to the assigned Guest Experience colleague within one day of receiving the deposit, ensuring a smooth handover.
- Repeat Business and Referrals: Contact past guests during quieter periods to explore repeat holiday bookings and referral opportunities.
- Escalation and Collaboration: Work with the Sales Manager on large, high-value or group enquiries and collaborate with the Product Team and Guest Experience Team as required.
