The India Sales Manager will strengthen BICO Group’s (Discover Echo and Cellink) commercial operations across India by driving lead qualification, market development, and technical business development for the Discover Echo microscopy and CELLINK 3D bioprinting portfolios. The role will focus on identifying and converting opportunities across cell biology, 3D cell culture, tissue engineering, organoid, regenerative medicine, drug discovery, imaging, and related life science research applications. The position requires a commercially driven individual with strong scientific understanding who can engage customers, support distributors and Sales Managers, and align customer needs with BICO’s Life Science Solutions portfolio.
Lead generation and market development
- Drive lead qualification and conversion for Discover Echo microscopes and Cellink 3D bioprinters across academic, biotech, biopharma, pharmaceutical, and applied research accounts.
- Execute targeted campaigns in underpenetrated markets within India.
- Represent Discover Echo and Cellink during key events, customer visits, seminars, workshops, and market development activities to expand the sales pipeline.
Technical business development
- Act as a technical lead in pre‑sales engagements by applying strong application understanding in microscopy, live‑cell imaging, 3D cell culture, tissue engineering, organoids, biomaterials, and bioprinting workflows.
- Align customer needs with relevant product value propositions, including ease of imaging, workflow efficiency, reproducibility, 3D model development, and advanced biofabrication capability.
- Support feasibility discussions, product demonstrations, application workshops, and technical follow‑ups in coordination with internal application and product experts.
Channel and sales execution support
- Collaborate closely with distributor to progress opportunities and provide technical depth during the sales process.
- Train, support, and enable distributors through joint customer visits, application discussions, product positioning, and structured follow‑up activities.
- Track funnel activity, contribute to forecasting accuracy, and provide market feedback to support regional commercial planning for the microscopy and bioprinting portfolios.
Strategic account penetration
- Identify and develop high‑potential accounts in cell biology, cancer research, stem cell research, regenerative medicine, tissue engineering, organoids, drug discovery, and translational research.
- Establish strategic relationships with principal investigators, lab managers, core facility managers, key opinion leaders, and decision‑makers.
- Build territory and account strategies with clear quarterly objectives, operating as a hunter aligned with the application roadmap for imaging and 3D bioprinting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, Cell Biology, or a closely related scientific field is mandatory.
- Demonstrated experience in technical sales, business development, field applications, or product specialist roles within life sciences, microscopy, cell biology, bioprinting, or related research markets. Experience in India is preferred.
- Experience working with distributors, conducting technical training, and supporting sales funnel progression.
- Strong application knowledge in microscopy, cell imaging, 3D cell culture, tissue engineering, organoids, regenerative medicine, biomaterials, and/or bioprinting workflows.
- Ability to understand and communicate value propositions for Discover Echo microscopes and Cellink 3D bioprinters used in academic, biotech, biopharma, and pharmaceutical laboratories.
- Ability to translate customer research needs into relevant workflow solutions, including imaging, model development, bioink selection, printing strategy, and application support.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage scientific audiences, principal investigators, lab managers, KOLs, and commercial stakeholders.
- Good sales funnel discipline, including lead qualification, opportunity tracking, forecasting input, and structured follow‑up.
- Proficient in English; additional language capabilities in other regional languages are an advantage.
The role will be based in India. Regular travel is expected for customer visits, distributor enablement, events, demonstrations, workshops, and regional commercial activities.
