Role Description The Sales Manager role at SMFG India Credit is a full-time, on-site position based in Chalisgaon. The Sales Manager is responsible for achieving sales targets for assigned loan products, managing and developing the local sales team, and driving customer acquisition across the region. Day-to-day activities include generating and nurturing leads, building and maintaining relationships with customers, coordinating with branch and operations teams to ensure smooth loan processing, and monitoring portfolio quality. The role involves market mapping, identifying new business opportunities, conducting customer visits, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines. The Sales Manager also prepares regular sales reports, provides performance feedback to team members, and contributes to local marketing and outreach initiatives.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in sales planning, target achievement, and pipeline management within financial services or related sectors.
• Strong customer relationship management, negotiation, and communication abilities to engage diverse urban and rural customer segments.
• Experience in team leadership, performance monitoring, and coaching to drive high-performing sales teams.
• Practical understanding of retail lending products such as personal loans, SME loans, vehicle loans, and loans against property.
• Ability to analyze market trends, assess risks, and maintain portfolio quality while adhering to compliance and regulatory standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, commerce, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
• Prior experience in NBFCs, banks, or financial institutions, particularly in branch-based or field sales roles, is highly beneficial.
• Comfort with on-site work, local travel, and use of basic digital tools (CRM systems, spreadsheets, and reporting tools).
