Role Summary
A 6-month internship with BPL's Sales team in Bangalore, built for someone who's genuinely good with numbers and loves turning messy data into a clear story. You'll work closely with the sales team, getting hands‑on with real business data sorting, cleaning, and analysing it to uncover patterns that actually influence decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Data Sorting & Management
- Collect, clean, and organise sales data from multiple sources into structured, usable formats.
- Maintain and update sales trackers, databases, and reporting templates.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reports.
Analytics & Reporting
- Analyse sales trends, territory performance, and product-wise data to surface actionable insights.
- Build and maintain Excel-based dashboards, pivot tables, and reports for the sales team.
- Support in preparing periodic (weekly/monthly) sales performance reports for management review.
Business Support
- Assist the sales team with ad-hoc data requests and analysis for ongoing business decisions.
- Help identify patterns and flag anomalies in sales performance across regions/products.
- Support in tracking targets vs. achievements across territories.
Process & Documentation
- Contribute to improving how sales data is captured and reported, suggesting simpler or more efficient methods.
- Maintain clear documentation of data sources, definitions, and report logic for handover and continuity.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications & Experience
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Commerce, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, charts); familiarity with Power BI or similar tools is a plus.
- No prior work experience required — this role is designed for someone early in their career looking to build real‑world analytics experience.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with an eye for detail and accuracy.
- Good communication skills to present findings clearly to the sales team.
- Organised, self‑driven, and comfortable managing multiple data requests at once.
Why This Role Matters
- Hands‑on exposure to how a MedTech company's sales engine actually runs, territory by territory.
- Real ownership of reports and dashboards that the sales team uses, not toy exercises.
- A strong foundation in business analytics — a skill that compounds, whatever career path you choose next.
- Mentorship from an experienced sales team, and a front‑row seat to how data shapes real business calls.
- The chance to contribute to a company with real purpose — where sharper data turns into better decisions, and better decisions turn into wider access to healthcare.
