Job summary

Jay Cable Industries - India, based in Dahegam, Gandhinagar, seeks an experienced sales professional to grow its dealer network and drive business growth across Gujarat.

The role requires 4–5 years in cable, wire, or electrical sales, and a willingness to travel. You will negotiate, quote, and close orders while coordinating with production, dispatch, and accounts to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Graduate in any stream (B.E./Diploma in Electrical preferred); MBA in Sales/Marketing is a plus
• 4-5 years of proven sales experience in the cable, wire, or electrical industry
• Freshers are not eligible to apply
• Existing contacts with dealers, distributors, contractors, or project buyers
• Good knowledge of cable types, wire types, applications, and pricing
• Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
• Willingness to travel frequently
• Working knowledge of MS Excel, email, and CRM/ERP
• Languages: English, Hindi, Gujarati

Responsibilities

• Generate new business by approaching dealers, distributors, electrical contractors, EPC companies, builders, and industrial buyers
• Build and manage a dealer/distributor network in new and existing territories
• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets
• Prepare quotations, negotiate prices, and close orders
• Handle tender enquiries and government/PSU/project sales, where applicable
• Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and ensure repeat business
• Collect payments on time and follow up on outstanding dues
• Study the market, competitor pricing, and customer needs, and share feedback with management
• Coordinate with production, dispatch, and accounts to ensure timely delivery
• Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and visit plans
