Job summary

Texport Industries in Bangalore is seeking a Safety Officer to implement and monitor health and safety programs across the organization. The candidate will conduct inspections, ensure statutory compliance, and drive awareness of workplace safety among employees.

Key responsibilities include risk assessments, incident investigations, training, audits, and maintaining safety records to support a strong safety culture and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a Safety Officer.
• Experience in garment, textile, manufacturing, or industrial environments is preferred.
• Recognized safety-related qualification/course is required.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety, compliance, and sustainability requirements.
• Proactive, responsible, and capable of working independently as well as coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor workplace Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and identify potential hazards.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, statutory requirements, and company standards.
• Conduct safety training and awareness programs for employees.
• Investigate accidents/incidents and prepare reports with corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor fire safety systems, emergency preparedness, evacuation procedures, PPE usage, and other safety measures.
• Maintain safety-related records, reports, checklists, and documentation.
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure effective implementation of safety standards.
• Support internal and external audits related to HIGG, Environmental Sustainability, Social Compliance, and LABS.
• Monitor and follow up on corrective actions arising from safety audits and inspections.
• Promote a strong safety culture and encourage employees to follow safe work practices.
