Job summary

• Minimum 3 years of industrial experience as a Safety Officer

Responsibilities

• Conduct Safety Inspections
• Conduct daily inspections of facilities, machinery, operations, and employee practices to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective action
• Ensure Safety Compliance with local, state, and national regulations
• Plan and conduct safety induction programmes, employee training, emergency drills, toolbox talks, and hazard communication programmes
• Investigate accidents, near-misses, and unsafe incidents; perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions
• Maintain accurate safety records, inspection reports, incident/accident reports, training records, statutory registers, and related documentation

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Safety Inspections


• Conduct daily inspections of facilities, machinery, operations, and employee practices to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective action.


• Ensure Safety Compliance


• Ensure all operations comply strictly with applicable local, state, and national occupational health and safety regulations, standards, and statutory requirements.


• Safety Training & Awareness


• Plan and conduct safety induction programmers, employee training, emergency drills, toolbox talks, and hazard communication programmers.


• Incident Investigation


• Investigate accidents, near-misses, and unsafe incidents. Conduct root-cause analysis and recommend and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.


• Safety Documentation & Records


• Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety records, inspection reports, incident/accident reports, training records, statutory registers, and other safety-related documentation.

Qualification

• Degree in Industrial Safety, (OR)


• Degree in Engineering with a Diploma in Industrial Safety. would be added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of industrial experience as a Safety Officer.


• Experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment will be preferred.
