Job summary

Coreehs in India is seeking a seasoned HSE professional to develop and monitor project-specific safety policies for power plant construction, including mechanical erection, electrical installation, and related activities.

You will lead Safety Officers and Engineers, conduct inductions and safety trainings, perform risk assessments, and ensure compliance with statutory and client safety standards while coordinating with project teams and contractors.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Power Plant / Thermal Power Project Construction.
• Experience in Boiler, Turbine, Generator, Mechanical Erection, and Electrical Installation.
• Hands-on experience in Testing, Commissioning, and Project-Level HSE Management.
• Experience in leading a team of Safety Officers and Engineers.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor project-specific HSE policies, procedures, and safety management plans.
• Monitor safety activities related to civil construction, structural erection, mechanical installation, boiler, turbine, and generator erection.
• Ensure safe execution of electrical installation, switchyard, transformer, HT/LT, and cable-related activities.
• Monitor high-risk activities such as Work at Height, Confined Space, Hot Work, Heavy Lifting, Excavation, Scaffolding, and Electrical Safety.
• Ensure proper implementation of PTW, JSA, Risk Assessment, and LOTO procedures.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections, audits, and safety meetings with project teams and contractors.
• Lead and manage the Safety Officers, Safety Engineers, and Safety Supervisors deployed at the project site.
• Conduct safety induction, Toolbox Talks (TBT), training programs, and emergency mock drills.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, client safety standards, and applicable EHS regulations.
• Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports, audit reports, and safety documentation.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Contractors, and Client Safety Representatives to ensure safe project execution.
