Job summary

Cholamandalam Ms Risk Services is seeking a Safety Engineer to oversee construction safety across heavy industry sites in India. The role requires a recognized engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Construction Management) and an AICTE/SCTE qualification in Industrial Safety, with at least five years in field safety, including two years in HSE.

Fluency in English and Hindi, plus strong MS Office skills, is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Construction Management.
• Must hold SCTE&VT/AICTE recognized degree or PG diploma in Industrial Safety.
• Minimum 5 years in construction safety with at least 2 years in HSE.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety protocols in construction of power plants, ports, petrochemical or cement facilities.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards and carry out site safety audits.
• Lead incident investigations and corrective actions on site.
• Ensure practices align with project schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate safety training and toolbox talks for on-site teams.
• Maintain English and Hindi communication for documentation and reporting.

Role & responsibilities

• Must be at least a graduate in engineering in Mechanical/Electrical/ Civil/ Construction Management from a recognized institution
• ii. Must have a SCTE&VT/AICTE recognized degree or PG diploma in Industrial Safety with a paper in construction safety.
• iii. Must have worked for 5 years or more as on the date of deployment in the field of construction of power plant/ Port/ Petrochem/cement factory, out of which at least 2 years should be in HSE function.
• iv. Must have fluent in English and Hindi in reading and writing.
• v. Must have working proficiency in Computer operation including MS Office, Power Point, etc.
• vi. The candidate shall be neither younger than 30 years nor older than 45 years
