Job summary

Amara Raja Infra is seeking an experienced HSE Lead to manage safety on heavy industrial construction projects in Kanpur. You will drive HSE compliance, conduct inspections and risk assessments, and implement JSA/JHA, PTW, and emergency plans to safeguard workers.

Your role includes leading incident investigations, audits, and contractor safety management, with a focus on Zero Harm and continuous improvement. Immediate joiners are preferred, with strong safety qualifications required.

Qualifications

  • BE/B.Tech/Diploma with NEBOSH/ADIS/IOSH or equivalent safety qualification required.
  • Experience in Heavy Industrial / EPC / Construction projects.
  • Exposure to Steel, Cement, Power, Manufacturing, Process Plants, or Heavy Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of HIRA, PTW, JSA, Lifting & Rigging, Work at Height, Confined Space, and Incident Investigation.
  • Experience in Contractor Safety Management, Statutory Compliance, HSE Audits, and Team Leadership.
  • Immediate Joiners are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead HSE management for heavy industrial construction projects and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Conduct HSE inspections, audits, HIRA, risk assessments, and safety reviews.
  • Implement JSA/JHA, Method Statements, PTW, Emergency Response Plans, and safety procedures.
  • Ensure safe execution of lifting, work at height, scaffolding, excavation, confined space, hot work, electrical, and heavy equipment activities.
  • Monitor crane operations, lifting plans, rigging, material handling, and equipment safety.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, client, and project HSE requirements.
  • Lead incident investigation, RCA, and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, training, and emergency mock drills.
  • Manage contractor/subcontractor safety compliance through audits and inspections.
  • Track HSE KPIs, incidents, near misses, LTIs, and safety observations.
  • Coordinate with Project, Construction, Engineering, Client, PMC, and statutory authorities on HSE matters.
  • Drive Zero Harm, Behaviour-Based Safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure proper availability and use of PPE, firefighting, first-aid, and emergency response facilities.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports, MIS, and compliance reports.
