Job summary

Chola MS Risk Service in Joda, Odisha is seeking a Safety Manager to lead HSE planning, risk assessment, and on-site safety governance for construction projects. You will implement OSHA-aligned controls, conduct site inspections, and coordinate emergency drills.

The role requires BE/BTech and recognized safety qualifications (ADIS/PDIS/NEBOSH). You will work with project teams to ensure compliance with safety standards, maintain records, and promote a proactive zero-incident culture.

Qualifications

Designation- Safety Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor the project Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) plan.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, local construction safety regulations, and company safety standards.
• Conduct daily site inspections to identify unsafe conditions and practices.
• Monitor high-risk activities including:
• Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on site.
• Coordinate emergency response procedures, fire drills, and evacuation plans.
• Maintain safety records, permits, inspection reports, and compliance documentation.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to improve site safety performance.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance with safety requirements.
• Prepare weekly and monthly safety reports for management.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and zero-incident environment.
• Monitor contractor and vendor activities to ensure compliance with project safety requirements, approved Method Statements, and Risk Assessments.
• Support implementation and monitoring of the Permit to Work (PTW) system for high-risk activities including work at height, lifting operations, confined space entry, electrical works, hot work, and excavation activities.
• Monitor safe execution of lifting operations, structural erection, scaffolding works, excavation works, and other critical construction activities.
