Job summary

Consulting Engineers Group Ltd. (CEG) in Mumbai is looking for a Site Engineer (Civil) to supervise on-site construction activities, ensure quality and safety, and coordinate with contractors and clients on major infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering with 3–5 years of site experience in metro/rail projects, bridges, or elevated structures, and is proficient in reading drawings and IS codes. Excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years experience for B.E./B.Tech or 5 years for Diploma.
• Experience in Metro Rail, Railway, Elevated Structures, Bridges, Flyovers, Viaducts or other infrastructure projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day construction activities as per approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Ensure construction work complies with quality standards, technical specifications, and contract requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and the client for smooth project execution.
• Monitor work progress and ensure timely completion of activities.
• Verify site measurements and maintain daily progress reports and project documentation.
• Review drawings, identify site issues, and provide technical solutions with the project team.
• Assist in inspection, testing, billing, and certification of completed works.
• Ensure proper utilization of manpower, materials, and equipment at site.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, Planning, and Survey teams for seamless execution.
• Attend site meetings and prepare progress reports for management.

Qualification

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.

Experience

• Experience in Metro Rail, Railway, Elevated Structures, Bridges, Flyovers, Viaducts, POD Taxi, or other infrastructure projects is preferred.
