Job summary

Sun Life is seeking an experienced RPA Engineer to provide day-to-day support for our RPA environments, including bot deployment, maintenance, monitoring, triage and root cause analysis. You will also implement approved automation enhancements requested by our business partners.

The role requires 5-8 years in RPA development and 3+ years with RPA technologies, plus hands-on experience with Confluence, JIRA, ServiceNow, Splunk, and Tableau.

Role

The RPA Engineer will provide day‑to‑day support for our RPA environments and production processes including bot deployment, maintenance, monitoring, triage, troubleshooting and root cause analysis with timely closure of issues. The Support Engineer will also implement approved automation enhancements requested by our business partners.

Preferred skills

• 5-8 years of experience in RPA Development & support.
• 3+ years of experience with RPA technologies (Blue Prism, UiPath, Power Platforms).
• In‑depth experience with Confluence, JIRA, ServiceNow, Splunk, Tableau.
• Basic experience in MS SQL script, VBA, Python, C#, JSON, PowerShell.
• Exposure to Agentic AI solution and implementation.
• Experience in orchestrating and managing unattended Bots that are running concurrently at the same time.
• Results-focused; will go above and beyond with the ability to show creativity in providing solutions.
• Proven ability to learn and handle multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.
• Relationship building with people and across teams with different levels or expertise.
• Sound business and technical acumen with demonstrated flexibility to identify and apply different approaches to solve business problems, and advance work on business priorities with the ability to deal with ambiguous situations.

• Demonstrated experience in process reengineering and has successfully led end to end RPA projects in a complex multi‑application and technology environments.

• Provide production support/process monitoring for our bots (digital workers).
• Ensure the Bots are running and doing the work using CTWO or Blue Prism control room and/or other automated monitoring tools.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement fixes to issues by doing a thorough root cause analysis and impact of the defect.
• Take ownership of complex support issues and engage the appropriate resources to reach resolution.
