Job summary

Good co India is seeking an experienced RPA/Automation leader to spearhead an enterprise automation program. You will lead and mentor the RPA team, own end-to-end delivery from discovery to production, and shape the automation strategy across SAP, CRM, ERP, web apps, and mainframe environments.

You will design scalable architectures, govern security and standards, drive KPI tracking, and partner with engineering, IT, DevOps and business teams to deliver ROI-driven automation.

Role & responsibilities

• Lead and manage the RPA/Automation team, providing technical guidance, mentoring, performance management, and career development.
• Own the end-to-end RPA delivery lifecycle, from process discovery and feasibility assessment through development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Define and execute the organization's RPA and automation strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Identify, assess, and prioritize automation opportunities based on business value, complexity, feasibility, risk, and ROI.
• Design and review scalable RPA solutions and automation architectures using UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Power Automate, or similar platforms.
• Manage UiPath Orchestrator/Automation Cloud environments, bot deployments, scheduling, monitoring, access, credentials, and production operations.
• Drive development of reusable automation frameworks, components, libraries, standards, and best practices.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand processes, gather requirements, prepare PDD/SDD, and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Lead automation POCs and solution designs, including effort estimation, technical feasibility, resource planning, and implementation approach.
• Establish and manage RPA governance, security, coding standards, deployment standards, change management, and operational controls.
• Integrate RPA solutions with SAP, CRM, ERP, web applications, Citrix, mainframe systems, databases, APIs, and other enterprise applications.
• Monitor bot performance, availability, exceptions, failures, and operational KPIs, ensuring timely resolution of production issues.
• Track automation metrics including ROI, cost savings, hours saved, bot utilization, transaction volumes, automation coverage, and defect reduction.
• Partner with Engineering, IT, DevOps, Security, Product, Operations, and Business teams to deliver enterprise automation initiatives.
• Evaluate and introduce emerging technologies such as Intelligent Automation, AI/ML, Generative AI, IDP, OCR, Process Mining, and Agentic AI into the automation ecosystem.
• Manage project schedules, priorities, dependencies, risks, budgets, vendors, and stakeholder expectations.
• Conduct technical reviews, architecture reviews, code reviews, and quality assessments of automation solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement of automation platforms, development practices, infrastructure, and delivery processes.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, mentoring, and capability development of RPA developers, automation engineers, business analysts, and solution architects.
• Present automation roadmaps, delivery status, business benefits, risks, and opportunities to senior management.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in RPA, automation, software engineering, Intelligent Automation, or related technology roles, with significant experience in team/project leadership.
• Strong hands‑on experience with UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Microsoft Power Automate, or equivalent RPA platforms.
• Strong expertise in UiPath Studio, UiPath Orchestrator, Automation Cloud, bot deployment, scheduling, monitoring, and production support.
• Experience designing RPA solutions, automation frameworks, reusable components, and enterprise automation architectures.
• Strong understanding of RPA lifecycle, PDD, SDD, process discovery, feasibility analysis, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Programming/scripting experience in Python, C#, VB.NET, Java, JavaScript, or similar languages.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, REST APIs, Web Services, API integration, databases, and enterprise application integration.
• Experience automating applications such as SAP, Salesforce/CRM, ERP systems, web applications, Excel, Citrix, and mainframe environments.
• Knowledge of OCR, Document Understanding, Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), AI/ML, Generative AI, LLMs, and Agentic AI is an advantage.
• Experience with Process Mining, Task Mining, BPM, workflow automation, and process optimization is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Azure/AWS, cloud automation, Git, Jenkins, CI/CD, DevOps, Agile/Scrum, and SDLC.
• Experience establishing RPA governance, Automation CoE, security standards, coding standards, reusable frameworks, and best practices.
• Strong understanding of automation ROI, business case development, process assessment, effort estimation, and automation pipeline management.
• Proven experience managing and mentoring RPA developers/automation engineers and leading cross‑functional teams.
• Strong stakeholder management, client management, communication, presentation, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to balance hands‑on technical leadership with people management, project management, and strategic planning.
• Relevant certifications such as UiPath Certified Professional, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Microsoft Power Platform, AWS/Azure, or AI/GenAI certifications are an added advantage.
