Job summary

Qualifications

• CCNA certification is mandatory.
• Experience with routing and switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
• Hands-on with Cisco devices and SD-WAN solutions.

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot routing/switching (Cisco IOS/NX-OS).
• Implement VLANs, STP, and IP routing protocols.
• Support SD-WAN deployments and optimize WAN for branches.
• Apply network security practices: ACLs, VPNs, firewalls.
• Provide L2/L3 incident handling and change documentation.
• Collaborate with systems/storage teams for integrated solutions.
• Stay updated on networking trends and propose improvements.

Primary skillset: Router + Switch + SDWAN

Key Responsibilities

Core Networking

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot enterprise routing and switching technologies (Cisco IOS, NX-OS).
• Implement and maintain Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols (VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
• Perform network performance monitoring, optimization, and fault resolution.
• Manage IP addressing, subnetting, and network segmentation.

SD-WAN

• Deploy, configure, and support SD-WAN solutions (Primary skill on Netskope and secondary skill as VMware VeloCloud or equivalent).
• Optimize WAN connectivity for branch offices and remote sites.
• Implement policies for traffic steering, QoS, and application-aware routing.
• Monitor SD-WAN performance and ensure high availability.

Security & Compliance

• Apply network security best practices including ACLs, firewalls, VPNs, and secure routing.
• Integrate networking solutions with MFA and cybersecurity policies.
• Ensure compliance with organizational standards and audit requirements.

Operations & Support

• Provide L2/L3 support for network incidents and service requests.
• Perform firmware upgrades, patching, and configuration backups.
• Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (systems, storage, applications) for integrated solutions.

Continuous Improvement

• Recommend improvements in network design, performance, and automation.
• Stay current with emerging networking technologies and industry trends.
• Participate in capacity planning and scalability initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills

• 3-8 Years of Experience
• Certifications: CCNA (mandatory), CCNP (preferred), SD-WAN specialization.
• Strong knowledge of routing & switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS).
• Hands-on experience with Cisco networking devices and SD-WAN solutions.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, NetFlow).
• Experience with VPNs, firewalls, and network security practices.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting complex network issues.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
