Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Network Routing (WAN) Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise‑wide WAN and routing infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in routing protocols, WAN technologies, SD‑WAN solutions, and network performance optimization across global environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain enterprise WAN infrastructure.
- Implement and troubleshoot routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and MPLS.
- Configure and manage routers from vendors such as Cisco Systems, Juniper Networks, and Arista Networks.
- Deploy and support SD‑WAN solutions (e.g., VMware SD‑WAN / VeloCloud, Fortinet, Cisco Systems SD‑WAN).
- Manage MPLS, leased lines, broadband, and DIA circuits.
- Monitor WAN performance, latency, jitter, and packet loss.
- Perform capacity planning and network optimization.
- Configure and troubleshoot IPsec VPN and GRE tunnels.
- Work with ISPs for circuit provisioning and incident resolution.
- Maintain high availability using redundancy technologies (HSRP, VRRP).
- Create and maintain network diagrams and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8–15+ years of hands‑on experience in WAN routing and enterprise networking.
- Strong knowledge of: TCP/IP, subnetting, CIDR; Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP); MPLS and Layer 2/Layer 3 VPNs; SD‑WAN architecture.
- Experience with router configuration and CLI troubleshooting.
- Strong troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis skills.
Preferred Certifications
- CCNP Enterprise / CCNP Service Provider
- JNCIP-ENT
- CCIE (Routing & Switching / Enterprise Infrastructure)
- Fortinet NSE (SD‑WAN track)
Technical Skills
- Advanced routing & redistribution
