Job summary

Accor is seeking a Rooms Controller to oversee daily room inventory, occupancy levels, and room readiness across all guest rooms. You will coordinate with Front Office, Maintenance, and Housekeeping to optimize revenue and ensure superior guest experiences.

Lead the housekeeping and maintenance teams, monitor PMS data, and collaborate with Sales and Marketing to support promotions while upholding health, safety, and service standards.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in Rooms Controller or similar luxury hotel role.
• Experience in room inventory, occupancy forecasting and yield management.
• Supervisory experience with housekeeping and maintenance teams.
• Proficient with PMS and hotel software suites.
• Strong communication across departments and with guests.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily room inventory, occupancy levels and room status management.
• Manage and optimize room revenue through pricing, forecasting and yield strategies.
• Supervise housekeeping and maintenance staff, including scheduling and performance.
• Maintain guest room cleanliness, maintenance and readiness of all rooms.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Guest Services, Sales and Marketing teams.
• Analyze occupancy data and KPI reports to identify trends and improvements.
• Address guest complaints and maintenance issues promptly and professionally.
• Ensure accurate records of room status, maintenance schedules and inventory.
• Conduct quality assurance inspections to uphold standards.
• Prepare reports on room operations and revenue performance for management.

Job Description

• Oversee daily room inventory, occupancy levels, and room status management to ensure optimal operational efficiency
• Manage and optimise room revenue through strategic pricing, forecasting, and yield management initiatives
• Supervise and coordinate the housekeeping and maintenance teams, including staff scheduling, induction, and performance management
• Monitor and maintain the highest standards of room cleanliness, maintenance, and guest-ready conditions across all guest rooms
• Liaise with the Front Office and Guest Services teams to ensure seamless communication and exceptional guest experiences
• Analyse occupancy data, revenue reports, and key performance indicators to identify trends and recommend improvements
• Address and resolve guest complaints and maintenance issues promptly and professionally
• Manage room maintenance requests and coordinate with engineering and housekeeping departments
• Maintain accurate records of room status, maintenance schedules, and inventory within the property management system
• Conduct regular quality assurance inspections and audits to ensure compliance with Fairmont standards
• Prepare detailed reports on room operations, occupancy rates, and revenue performance for management review
• Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to support promotional activities and special events
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security protocols throughout the rooms division

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a Rooms Controller or similar rooms division management role within a luxury hotel environment
• Proven experience in room inventory management, occupancy forecasting, and yield management
• Demonstrated supervisory and team leadership experience with housekeeping and maintenance personnel
• Strong proficiency with property management systems (PMS) and hotel management software
• Excellent knowledge of revenue management principles and pricing strategies
• Solid understanding of health, safety, and security protocols within hospitality operations
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively across departments
