Orbit & Skyline India Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a skilled Robotics Engineer- Sensor Calibration to calibrate and validate sensors and robot coordinate systems, ensuring precise, safe cobot operation in semiconductor equipment contexts.

The role requires 3–5+ years in robotics or related fields, with a strong background in calibration techniques, TCP/hand-eye methods, and ISO/ safety standards. Joint development and documentation duties will be essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in robotics, automation, calibration, or machine vision.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechatronics, Robotics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Experience with UR, ABB, FANUC, KUKA, Omron Cobots is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate and validate cameras, force/torque sensors, IMUs, encoders, LiDAR, and safety sensors.
• Perform TCP, tool-frame, robot-base, and hand-eye calibration.
• Establish and maintain robot, camera, and world coordinate transformations.
• Develop calibration procedures, fixtures, standards, and automation tools
• Analyze sensor data for accuracy, repeatability, drift, noise, and bias.
• Conduct robot accuracy, repeatability, and system validation testing.
• Troubleshoot sensor and robot positioning issues using root cause analysis.
• Support compliance with ISO 10218, ISO/TS 15066, and functional safety requirements
• Document calibration results, validation reports, and measurement uncertainty.

Who are we looking for?
Orbit & Skyline is looking forward to onboarding a highly skilled “Robotics Engineer- Sensor Calibration”. Responsible for calibrating, validating, and maintaining the accuracy of sensors and robot coordinate systems to ensure precise, safe, and reliable cobot operation.
