Job summary

Ripik.AI, Noida-based AI startup, seeks a VP Technology to own the technology vision and drive engineering execution for its Vision AI platform. You will lead a cross-functional team, set technical direction, and ensure reliability, scalability, and quality across the product.

You will guide AWS-based architecture, collaborate with AI/DS teams, and translate business priorities into technical roadmaps as Ripik scales globally from India to international markets.

Qualifications

• B.Tech from a Tier 1 college.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience with VP/leadership in early-stage startup.
• Proven 0-to-1 product experience in a startup environment.
• Hands-on AWS, Java, React.js, SQL, MongoDB experience.
• Strong AI/ML exposure and production integration experience.
• Experience hiring and leading engineering teams.

The Role

We are looking for a VP Technology to own the technology vision, architecture, and engineering execution behind Ripik's industrial AI platform. You will lead a cross-functional engineering organisation, stay hands-on where it matters, and bring the judgement of someone who has built and scaled a product from 0 to 1 at an early-stage startup before. This is a senior leadership role reporting into the founders - you will set technical direction, build and grow a high-performing team, and be directly accountable for the reliability, scalability, and quality of everything we ship.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the technology strategy and architecture for Ripik's platform - making the key build vs. buy, stack, and scaling decisions.
• Lead, grow, and mentor a cross-functional engineering team - hiring, structuring the org, and raising the technical bar as the team scales.
• Stay hands-on where needed - review architecture and code, unblock the team on hard technical problems, and set the engineering bar by example.
• Drive the integration of AI/ML capabilities into the core product, working closely with the AI/Data Science team.
• Own cloud infrastructure and cost on AWS - balancing performance, reliability, and spend as the platform scales.
• Partner closely with Product, Sales, and Customer Success to translate business priorities into technical roadmaps and trade-offs.
• Own engineering delivery predictability - sprint planning, release cadence, and production reliability (SLAs, incident response).
• Represent engineering to leadership and, where relevant, to customers and investors - communicating technical direction and progress clearly.

Required Skills & Experience

• B.Tech from a Tier 1 college.
• 8+ years of overall software engineering experience, with prior experience in a VP Technology / engineering leadership capacity at an early-stage startup.
• Proven 0-to-1 experience - has built and scaled a product from the ground up in a startup environment.
• Extensive hands-on expertise across AWS cloud, Java, React.js, SQL, and MongoDB.
• Strong exposure to AI/ML - understands how to integrate ML/AI capabilities into a production product.
• Team handling experience - has hired, structured, and led engineering teams, and is comfortable being accountable for their output.
