Overview

We are hiring for a US chemical manufacturing company for a Team Lead Research and Development (Research Scientist) role located in Bangalore, Electronic City.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of early career technology professionals in product development for Beauty and Personal Care.
• Evaluate and down-select technical approaches; drive advanced business/technology concepts to fruition.
• Develop robust technology roadmaps, manage budgeting and planning for technology components of advanced platforms.
• Oversee laboratory operations and ensure safe laboratory practices and regulatory compliance.

Required Work Experience

• 13+ years of Research & Development experience.
• Technically led and mentored early career technology professionals in product development for Beauty and Personal Care (preferably).
• MS or PhD in Surface Science or Material Science.
• Multinational leadership experience as a manager or project leader is preferred.

Required Technical/Business/Leadership Skills and Knowledge

• Strong technical competence with ability to evaluate/down-select technical approaches.
• Proven managerial experience with strategic evaluation, planning, and road-mapping.
• Experience in building robust technology teams and portfolio management for a broad program set.
• Experience in partnership/collaboration/open innovation.
• Strong managerial, oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
