Job Title: R&D Executive – Hair Care, Skin & Personal Care

About the Role

We’re looking for a technically strong R&D Executive who is passionate about skin and hair care innovations. You will be responsible for formulating new products, running lab-to-factory trials, and maintaining complete technical documentation throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate new cosmetic products across hair care, skin care and personal care categories
• Evaluate ingredients for efficacy, safety, compatibility and sensory performance
• Develop innovative, trend-forward formulations aligned with brand positioning
• Strong understanding of actives, botanicals, emulsifiers, surfactants, preservatives, etc.
• Stay updated with new ingredient launches, global trends and regulatory requirements
• Lab & Factory Trials
• Conduct lab-scale trials, stability studies and compatibility testing
• Coordinate pilot and commercial-scale trials with production teams
• Troubleshoot scale-up and post-production issues
• Documentation & Compliance
• Prepare PIFs, MSDS, COAs and batch records
• Maintain technical dossiers, BOMs and R&D formulations
• Ensure compliance with Indian and international cosmetic regulations
• Cross-functional Coordination
• Collaborate with Marketing, Regulatory, Packaging, QC and QA teams
• Support product claims, packaging compatibility and consumer testing

Key Requirements

• Qualification: B.Pharm / M.Pharm / M.Sc. (Cosmetic Science, Chemistry or relevant field)
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of R&D experience in cosmetics, personal care or derma brands, with hands-on exposure to developing hair care formulations, including innovative and professional/salon-range products.
