Job summary

ESP Engineered in Bengaluru is seeking a Chemist to develop and optimize specialty chemical processes. This role involves working with cross-functional teams and requires expertise in process chemistry and analytical techniques.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree in a relevant field and 2–6 years of experience in CDMO/CRO/Specialty Chemicals. Responsibilities include executing lab-scale reactions and supporting tech transfers.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years of experience in CDMO/CRO/Specialty Chemicals/API manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of reaction mechanisms and process chemistry.
• Experience in scale-up and tech transfer is preferred.

The Chemist will be responsible for process development, optimization, and scale-up of specialty chemical molecules from lab to pilot/plant scale. The role requires strong technical expertise, documentation rigor, and collaboration with cross-functional and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize synthetic routes for target molecules
• Execute lab-scale reactions and ensure reproducibility
• Conduct process optimization (yield improvement, cost reduction, impurity control)
• Support technology transfer from R&D to plant scale
• Perform analytical interpretation (HPLC, GC, NMR, etc.)
• Coordinate with plant teams, QA/QC, and project managers
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards

Qualifications
