Job summary

Arvee Laboratories (india) Limited seeks a dedicated R&D Chemist/Process Engineer to drive lab-scale experiments and scale-up while ensuring safety and GLP compliance. You will execute chemical syntheses per instructions and optimize processes for better yields and purity.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to transfer optimized lab protocols to production and pilot plants, maintain records, and analyze data to continually improve efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

• MSc in Chemistry or BE in Chemical Engineering with strong academic background.
• Understanding of unit operations, reaction kinetics, GLP and safety protocols.
• Strong analytical problem solving, record keeping and ability to troubleshoot chemical reactions.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute and evaluate lab-scale synthesis and process scale-up experiments.
• Perform purification including crystallization, distillation and filtration.
• Identify critical process parameters to maximize yield and purity.
• Handle moisture- and air-sensitive reactions safely and efficiently.
• Analytical skills: TLC development and method development for analysis.
• Maintain lab records, stock inventory, and labeling for analytical testing.
• Ensure GLP and safety; operate in shifts when required.
• Assist cross-functional teams in transferring lab protocols to production facilities.

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated, growth minded R&D Chemist/Process Engineer looking to build a long-term carrier and support our research and development initiatives. He will execute and optimize lab scale chemical experiments as per instruction with strict adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, execute and evaluate lab-scale chemical synthesis and process scale-up experiments based on process requirements as per assignment.
• Perform standard purification techniques including isolation, separation, and purification techniques including crystallization, distillation, filtration, etc.
• Identify critical process parameters (pH, temperature, pressure, reaction time etc) to maximize the batch yield, purity.
• Aware with handling moisture sensitive (Dry) and air sensitive reactions safely and efficiently.
• Aware with analytical skills e.g. TLC development, inhouse analytical method development, sample preparation for analysis.
• Maintain accurate lab records, update stock inventory, log chemical data and labelling of samples for analytical testing.
• Maintain workplace cleanliness, follow good laboratory practice (GLP), handle hazardous chemicals responsibly and operate in shifts when required.
• Assist cross-functional teams in transferring optimized lab protocols to production facilities and pilot plants.

Qualification & skills

Education:M.Sc. in Chemistry or B.E. in chemical Engineering with a strong academic background.

Deep understanding of unit operations, reaction kinetics, good laboratory practice (GLP) and laboratory safety protocols with strong analytical problem solving, record keeping and ability to troubleshoot chemical reactions effectively.
