Qualifications

• M.Sc./M.Tech./B.Tech in Chemistry, Agricultural Chemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or Life Sciences.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in R&D, formulation development, and patent drafting in agrochemical or related industries.
• Experience in patent drafting, prior art searches, and patentability analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize formulations for fertilizers, biostimulants, crop nutrition products, and specialty agricultural chemicals.
• Plan, conduct, monitor, and evaluate laboratory and field trials for new and existing products.
• Compile, analyze, and interpret trial data to support product development and technical validation.
• Maintain Research Diary, laboratory notebooks, formulation records, and experimental documentation.
• Prepare technical reports, trial summaries, SOPs, and product development documentation.
• Support product scale-up, process optimization, and technology transfer to manufacturing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, QA, Regulatory, and Marketing for successful product commercialization.
• Draft provisional, complete, and PCT patent applications.
• Conduct prior art, novelty, patentability, and Freedom-to-Operate (FTO) searches.
• Coordinate with patent attorneys and consultants for patent filing, prosecution, and examination.
• Monitor competitor patents, emerging technologies, and innovation trends.

Key Responsibilities

Research & Development

• Develop and optimize formulations for fertilizers, biostimulants, crop nutrition products, and specialty agricultural chemicals.
• Plan, conduct, monitor, and evaluate laboratory and field trials for new and existing products.
• Compile, analyze, and interpret trial data to support product development and technical validation.
• Maintain accurate Research Diary, laboratory notebooks, formulation records, and experimental documentation.
• Prepare technical reports, trial summaries, SOPs, and product development documentation.
• Support product scale-up, process optimization, and technology transfer to manufacturing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality Assurance, Regulatory, and Marketing for successful product commercialization.

Patent Drafting & Intellectual Property

• Draft provisional, complete, and PCT patent applications.
• Conduct prior art, novelty, patentability, and Freedom-to-Operate (FTO) searches.
• Prepare invention disclosure documents and patent-related technical reports.
• Coordinate with patent attorneys and consultants for patent filing, prosecution, and examination.
• Monitor competitor patents, emerging technologies, and innovation trends.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain complete and accurate records of research activities, formulations, and trial observations.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards, company SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
• Protect confidential research data, formulations, and intellectual property.

Qualifications

• M.Sc./M.Tech./B.Tech. in Chemistry, Agricultural Chemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Agriculture, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in Research & Development, formulation development, and patent drafting within the agrochemical, fertilizer, specialty chemical, or related industries.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of formulation development and product innovation.
• Experience in conducting laboratory and field trials.
• Ability to compile, analyze, and interpret research and trial data.
• Hands‑on experience in maintaining research documentation and laboratory records.
• Knowledge of patent drafting, prior art searches, and patentability analysis.
• Familiarity with patent databases such as Google Patents, Espacenet, WIPO PATENTSCOPE, and InPASS.
• Excellent technical writing, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
