We are looking for an R&D Associate to develop and optimize construction chemicals such as admixtures, powder products, waterproofing, and sealants.

Role & Responsibilities

• Development of new products/technology in the field of construction chemicals such as admixtures, powder products, water‑proofing or sealants. Understanding of concept to commercialization regarding new product development is must.
• Development of new formulations or optimizing existing formulations by identifying cost‑competitive raw materials.
• Testing of existing or newly developed products and developing new test methods when needed.
• Troubleshooting problems at customer site during or after product applications when required.
• Maintain accurate records of laboratory experiments related to product development.
• Provide technical support to production, QC, sales/PMG and marketing as needed.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities is required.
• Understanding of safety and regulations related to safe operations of research laboratory and chemical handling is required.
• Utilize ERP tool such as SAP for maintaining BOM and changes to BOM or process.
• Lead and develop junior team members through mentoring and training.

Job Specifications

• Essential Qualification: M.Sc. or PhD in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering
• Desirable Qualification/Skills: Good understanding of Chemical Reactions, Polymer Chemistry and Formulations
• Experience: Product development experience in the field of construction chemical will be plus.
