Job summary

S&P Global in Mumbai, India, is seeking a candidate to support high-quality financial content from sell-side research. The role emphasizes precise data extraction, understanding various business models, and maintaining consensus estimates across sectors.

The position offers exposure to data extraction tools and cross-functional collaboration, with shifts including night rotations. Education in MBA/M.Com or CFA L1, and CFA L2 for graduates, strengthens candidacy.

Qualifications

  • MBA / M.Com or CFA L1 preferred (2026 passouts).
  • Graduate with BBA/B.Com/BMS/BAF and CFA L2 cleared.
  • Day shift with rotation including night shifts (5 AM to 2 PM, 12 PM to 9 PM and 8 PM to 5 AM).
  • Experience in valuation, financial statements, GAAP/Recurring income, ratio analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Extract and prepare insightful financial content from sell-side research using a mix of extraction technologies and sector knowledge.
  • Analyze diverse business models for publicly listed companies and surface key modeling approaches.
  • Conduct thorough data quality checks to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Collaborate within the team to optimize and enhance data collection processes.
  • Communicate findings effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Incorporate changes in sell-side models to maintain consensus estimates for companies under a specific sector.
  • Highlight errors in models to improve the basic inputs of decision making for the investing community.

The Team

The team is responsible for creating and delivering high-quality financial content from sell-side research, leveraging both advanced data extraction technologies and domain expertise. What We’re Looking For
  • Education: Post Graduates - MBA, M.Com, CFA L1 preferred (2026 passouts)
  • Education: Graduate - BBA/B.Com/BMS/BAF with CFA L2 cleared
  • Primary Shift - Day Shift but candidate should be willing to work in all shifts on a rotational basis including night shifts i.e 2-3 weeks in a quarter (5 AM to 2 PM, 12 PM to 9 PM and 8 PM to 5 AM)
  • Experience in the application of basic concepts like valuation, financial statements, GAAP/Recurring income, ratio analysis.
  • Should enjoy breaking down and interpreting financial models of a company to understand the basic building blocks of a company’s business model.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating consensus models would be a plus
  • Soft Skills: A positive attitude with attention to detail. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Excellent analytical skills and aptitude for critical thinking. Ability to articulate effectively with stakeholders across the organization. An eye for details and the ability to identify errors in modeling based on structured rules and statistics-based tools.
